She is best known for her role as Louisa von Trapp in THE SOUND OF MUSIC. The widow of Robert Urich, she set up a foundation in his memory. She died of brain cancer on Christmas Eve at the age of 68.

She was also well known in her starring role in Piranha (1978). And she was Canadian, which I never knew. Sad that this terrible disease, cancer, claimed both her and husband, Robert Urich, both had so many more years. Rest in peace.

Heather Menzies worked with Robert Urich on Alan Rudolph's ecological thriller 'Endangered Species' (1982). In the 1970s, she starred in Bernard Kowalski's 'Sssssss' (1973) and Joe Dante's 'Piranha' (1978). Thanks for the movies.
Heather Menzies Rest in Peace

I'll always remember her best for the Logan's Run television series.

She had a wholesome, "fresh-scrubbed" prettiness that is sorely lacking among today's plastic-surgery crazy "celebrities".
