What the fuck was the point of the secret?!?!?!? That's the point! I mean, can you imagine you're in an intense firefight in WW2 and your lieutenant says, "Just stay here for a while." And then an hour later with bullets whizzing by your face, "Just keep standing here, it's okay." And then five hours later, "I want you to keep standing here and not do anything while the enemy closes in on killing you." You'd be fucking retarded not to do anything. Oh wait, there were instances like that in WW2, Vietnam and every other war since the beginning of mankind and guess what usually resulted? Some sergeant comes along and puts a bullet in that lieutenant's ear. Maybe, with a lieutenant, not with a general or admiral. Are you crazy? If you want to point a flaw point it at the ease that they approached the admiral. That was stupid, but hey if you want to point and yell stupid at something else go ahead, but I tell you, that's not how the military works.

Okay, fine. That would have been an acceptable outcome. Lock his ass up. But to insinuate that what he did was detrimental to the Resistance is completely asinine and yet another example of forced feminism in this movie. What the fuck was the point of the secret?!?!?!? That's the point! You don't know Jack shit about military operations do you? In a scenario where a fleet can track you through hyperspace, what is your decision? That the fo developed a way of tracking you or someone is sending the coordinates of the next jump? What are your primary concerns? One keep the secret so if the second option is the truth you are not in jeopardy, two if the first is the truth have a backup plan but keep the secret. Duuuuuuh Okay, look I've been nice to you throughout your several blunders on this site, but clearly you don't reciprocate. It takes balls to be haughty when you couldn't even recall the second-most momentous part of the first SW movie. I suggest you change your gender indicator when you get a chance. So whereas I could explain yet one more thing to you, I think I'm going to wise up and stop replying to your drivel.

But to insinuate that what he did was detrimental to the Resistance is completely asinine and yet another example of forced feminism in this movie. He sacrificed the entire resistance bomber fleet to destroy 1 enemy ship. What was the positive outcome? Did the resistance win the battle? No, they destroyed 1 ship which constituted a fraction of the first order's combat power while losing a huge percentage of their own combat power. Anyone conducting an insurgency should know that you should never get decisively engaged with a superior enemy. The smart thing to do is live to fight another day at a time and place of your choosing. That was one of the messages of the movie.

Don't try to explain military tactics and concepts with him, he's just stubborn (2 years to change his mind).

No, they destroyed 1 ship which constituted a fraction of the first order's combat power while losing a huge percentage of their own combat power. But as Poe said, they'd lost entire fleets to this weapon. Exactly! So if Poe and the bombers hadn't taken out that ship then the tracker ship tracks them to the first place that they came out of hyperspace. The super-weapon ship is right there with the tracking ship. No missile run with Kylo and his escorts. The super-weapon ship just destroys their entire fleet! Movie over! Except we're left with 2 hours of Reylo and Luke searching for his bottle of Beefeater.

Those bombers cost the Resistance 100 times less than the Dreadnought cost the FO and the Resistance lost 100 times less men than the FO lost in that maneuver. That is precisely how you want to fight a war when you're the underdog. All this talk about being the underdog and running away so you can fight another day makes a lot of sense until you ask the question: and what are you hoping to accomplish when you fight on that "other day?" The kind of route where you wipe out 100 times more men/material than your enemy, that's what.

What's the difference between fleeing and having another shot at it, but with good coverage and do it unprotected. Like I said zero military insight.

I hate doing that because even people who are rude and with whom I vehemently disagree are still interesting sometimes. That one? Notsomuch.
