She is working on a fairy tale Disney movie. BP to her was not a fairy tale or a Bad Boys. This is the difference.
When it comes to credibility, Film artists have a lot. MCU fanboys have none.
Care to say that to my face?

Alright kid, listen up: this fry is your unviverse: it's soggy, it's weird, it's gross. And this delicious, normal fry is my universe.

I saw Jumanji 2 a couple of hours ago (bear with me here, I do make a point that's on topic), and I enjoyed it, why you may ask? Because it was a fun 2 hours of escapism, and I had a fun time watching the film - probably one of the most fun film experiences I've seen in recent years - and being an enjoyable experience to sit through, not some arthouse type film, which is precisely what the trolls think that the MCU should be. Newsflash: they're doing well with being enjoyable experiences of escapism, so try as you please to moan that the MCU isn't artistic, and that it's too focused on CGI and jokes (which are what make the MCU enjoyable, the jokes more so than the CGI), but, that's what makes the MCU as beloved as it is, they're not trying to make masterpieces, they're just trying to make fun, enjoyable films.

That's why I always challenge these little bitches to do exactly that when they try to insult MCU fans. They'll never accept, but I can handle it if they ever do.

We go through these arguments over and over again because some people don't want to come out of the capes and spandex closet. Instead, they'd prefer to redecorate their hiding place to be dark and gloomy - somehow, that will make it more respectable.
All of this posturing because you can't reconcile the idea that, as an adult, you can enjoy a sultry Shiraz, a foreign film and still read comic books. People need to take comic books and comic book movies for what they are instead of trying to turn them into high-art.
Down in the basement of our cares There's always a phony, count the stairs

Well said. It's long passed the point ridiculousness that we're still having these idiotic arguments.

No ones disputing that MCU make throwaway "fun, enjoyable films". Its when MCU fanatics then claim they are better films than Xmen, Nolans trilogy, Raimis spidermans then its a problem. These films are better FILMS because they take more care of the non flashy stuff as you highlighted the "jokes and CGI". They arent trying to be arthouse films, which no one has claimed, they just have better plot, character and drama.
Its like comparing Blade Runner 2049 to Star Wars Last Jedi. One is a compelling, thought provoking sci fi flick, the other a dumb, CGI joke filled popcorn piece. I really dont see your issue here, we agree on the same premise.

The problem is that the movies you mention arent as good as you claim and in fact worse than most of the movies in the MCU.
X1, X2, First Class and Logan are the only decent X-men movies made and able to compete at MCU level.
And there will not be any new X-men movies on that level made by Fox.
