They made Luke an equivalent to an old drunk who's given up on life and makes him forget who was. Even his sacrifice at the end means nothing.

They can then bring the "old" actors back and systematically go about killing the heroes off: Harry can become a wizard who abandons Gryffindor in favor of Slytherin. He attempts to bring Voldermort back from the grave before being taken down by multiple aurors. He dies in the first movie. Hermione becomes disinterested in learning and spends her days doing drugs. She's of course been divorced from Ron for years. She dies of a drug overdose in the second movie. Ron...oh, I don't know...he died and isn't even mentioned in the new, "better" stories.

Like I said, you're full of crap. And this is proof positive that you're nothing but a moronic shill. With every new reply you make more of a fool of yourself. A. When asked, Hamill didn't even know what the Dark Horse Luke Skywalker story was. I do--I read it when it first came out. I bet you didn't hear about it until you read this thread and will have to Google it to even falsely appear as if you knew what I was talking about. So much for your SW lore knowledge. And so much for his. Wow! I didn't realize that you made another reply to my last post in this thread the day after! Still eager to make a fool of yourself I see. Yeah, I'm aware of the Dark Horse Luke Skywalker story. What of it? Is that supposed to make you a better judge of the Luke Skywalker character than me or Mark Hamill or anyone else (who doesn't agree with you)? Please clown! Don't make me laugh! For one thing the characterization of Luke was better written than the nonsense in TLJ. And there were more plausible reasons why Luke temporarily turned to the Darkside. The confrontations and influence Palpatine had on him actually made sense. It was manipulated and somewhat forced upon him. Not this nonsense of trying to kill his nephew because of a vision or sense he got about Kylo. And at no time did Luke run away and become a grumpy hermit with the characterization of a homeless drunkard! Yeah you keep praising that nonsense like a fool. Derp! That inconvenient fact is true of every fantasy and superhero movie made in the last decade (as I already told you). But your idiotic argument is that TLJ is the only film in that entire time where it was significantly effected by spamming and deliberate strategies to lower the score! Sure it is, clown. You keep telling yourself that laughable lie.

Harry turning to Slytherin makes perfect sense if you think about how he always had darkness in him since the first movie/book. He wants the Wizarding World to end! Hermione dying of an over dose gives her character depth and growth. I don't know why you can't see that. Grint didn't age as well as his co-stars. I hear he'll be voicing Ron in Disney's multiple animated series though. That should satisfy you fake fans! In all seriousness: the writer behind The Cursed Child (Jack Thorne) wrote Episode 9...I'm not joking. www.vanityfair.com/hollywood/2017/08/jack-thorne-trevorrow-star-wars-rewriteswww.empireonline.com/movies/star-wars-last-jedi/jack-thorne-re-writing-star-wars-episode-ix/

Good god, why?! The only thing worse from a sequel story standpoint than The FARCE Awakens was that wretched, piss-poor Cursed Child play. They somehow keep reaching new lows long after I've completely given up them. It's the classic scenario at this point of, "I expected nothing and was still disappointed." I'm not seeing this or Solo in theaters.

Oh god I hope that Disney NEVER get their hands on Harry Potter.
It's bad enough that they violated Star Wars.

I'm not seeing this or Solo in theaters. It's terrible. I almost expect someone from Disney to say, "This is all a prank. Here's the real new trilogy with Luke, Leia, and Han." I defended Episode 7 for a long time because I thought they had a clear vision - the truth came out with Episode 8! The Disney execs don't know what they're doing. It's like they're working on a superficial level of what they think was great about Star Wars. i.e. Oh people loved a strong, opinionated woman in the OT (like Leia who really was an iconic character without trying). Let's give them a bunch more! Oh people loved cute things like Jawas and Ewoks. Let's give them a little bird-like creature! Etc. ...I suppose I'm beating a dead horse at this point. It's just so disappointing. I can honestly say that Star Wars was the only series I got excited for when a new movie was coming out and would countdown the days until I got to see it. My thought process was always, "How quickly can I see it after it comes out?" Usually I would see it opening day. Not anymore.

The DC movies - Nolan notwithstanding - suck. I hate Fast and Furious and Transformers. So Star Wars was my only hope. For a brief period of time, I had a new movie every year to be very excited about. That's quite a nice proposition. It lasted for three movies. <sad trombone>

If they made Harry Potter into a tranny GUARANTEED Rowling would be saying how wonderful it is as she cashed the cheque.
What is the Dark Horse comic you are referring to?
Ah Dark Empire. And that is the one with the Emperor clone. I liked that idea.
There was definitely stuff in there that made more sense to use in a movie than the SJW decadent direction they went with.

@winterssuicide the deleted scenes can all be watched on you tube without consideration. It's worth it but ultimately not too interesting.
