I really like superhero movies, as long as the story is compelling, and the storyteller gives the characters at least some dimension to them. And the "team up" films can be fun, again, if the story suits there being a team and the team is small enough, that I can keep track of who's who and I know enough about the characters to care about them, at least a little.
But it's getting a bit overwhelming when some of these films have 20 or 30 guys flying around and you start to lose track of who is who, and if you've seen this guy that just showed up in the fray or not.

Its a turned into a zombie/lemming following. Oeople just go bc they think they should, but theyte really just not that great anymore. It literally passes straight through my btain like nothing ever happened and i dont remember anything. The last actually good cb movies were the nolan batmans. A guy who can't even spell "people" correctly" and then proceeds to take several lazy short hands with the English language is in no position to look down on people who enjoy the majority of superhero films. I see only one zombie here and that's you.

I thought Logan & Wonder Woman were flat out fantastic and I am looking forward to see what Matt Reeves does with The Batman . Also looking forward to the Deadpool sequel & the next X Men film . Overall, I find some super hero movies to be a great form of entertainment. Why dont you just cover your body in movie posters and stand in everyones way at the supermarket while yiure at it? Why can't you use punctuation or spell words correctly?

While i can see why the OP said what he said... I think it's mainly about how they are done and the actor(s)/actress(s) on screen is what generally makes or breaks them.
also, like i say in general... movies as a whole are not really about doing something original but taking a idea that's already been done and doing it well.
with that said... i realize that some genres are worse than others as i think we all pretty much have genres that are unlikely to output movies that are anything special and maybe for the OP, super hero movies are one of those genres that he does not care for that much. hell, even in my own opinion there is not a single super hero movie i like to any higher degree (only one scored a 6-6.5/10 which makes only one within my Top 246 movies) even though i do like and re-watch some of them. but most super hero movies are not worth re-watching.
just off the top of my head, here are the super hero movies that come to mind that ill re-watch (IN NO ORDER)... Batman Returns/The Dark Knight trilogy/Thor trilogy(i have not seen the 3rd movie but chances are ill like it)/Man of Steel/Batman v Superman/Wonder Woman/Justice League/Suicide Squad. that's only 11-12 movies and if i missed some it's got to be very little beyond those twelve.

The best costumed superhero film was Robocop. It was the only one with truly threatening villains and enough suspense since you didnt know how it was going to end. It was humorous and serious.
Really, they should get Paul Verhoeven to direct a MCU film. Disney management would be amused I'm sure.

Stories about people with super powers are arguably the oldest and most prevalent in most cultures.

I loved super heroes but I havent watched any since Avengers 2. Even if Hollywood wasn't so feeble with storytelling, it is a limited genre in terms of dramatic potential. I watch a lot of spaghetti westerns and they got remarkable variety out of a limited genre environment (town, horses, guns) but you had actors and music and the anonymous nature of the characters. If the movie has Captain America you know it wont end with him having his hands crushed and needing to rig a gun holder with a cemetery marker. Can anyone guess the movie I am referring to? Additional hint. After the showers comes the sun. And I prefer certain American Westerns because in my experience they are less cartoonish than spaghetti westerns. Westerns, spaghetti westerns and comic book films need not be limited, but all too often are. You can give up on them and granted it’s tempting after Avengers 2, but good films that fit the confines of a genre can be made. We watch them because we have hope they can improve, and although it may not be a linear progression, it’s a progression towards better quality films IMO.

Because people are stupid. Aren’t you the guy complaining because you don’t like any of the already-made Spider Man movies? I’m really starting to think you don’t even truly believe what you write but just like to stir up trouble. You continually contradict yourself to an extraordinary degree.

Stories about people with super powers are arguably the oldest and most prevalent in most cultures. This. Superhero heroes are just the modern incarnation of old stories like Hercules, Sampson, Achilles, or Moses.

Because people enjoy them. Also, superhero movies have a wide variety of characters, stories, and tones and a rich comics history to draw from.
