The animated series is still the best adaptation in media. The Fox show? That had its' problems too, but considering the time it was made in it was VERY enjoyable.

Spiderman 1 and 2 are the best we got. The Amazing Spiderman series suffered from no planning and a deadline contract Sony had to meet so the rights don't go back. Homecoming suffered from been another soulless commercial Disney product

Personally I preferred the Sunbow (both versions) and SPECTACULAR series over Fox. I would thank the former for introducing me to the Dave Cockrum X-Men group.

There have been 3 great movies ASM and the first two Raimi films. Thats as good as it gets unless MCU makes more serious movies If by "serious" you mean "kill off the entire cast in a gorefest and have blatant sex scenes peppered all throughout the movies", then that ain't happening. No forced humor.

90 percent of Stark scenes. In Age of Ultron Ultron is trying to be funny. In Dr Strange He tries making Wong laugh the entire movie. Of course we talked about Homecoming the other day.

You are aware that Spider-Man comics always have a ton of humor in them. Spidey is known for making corny jokes in the heat of battle. Virtually all Marvel comics have always had a healthy dose of humor. If you don't like it that's fine but don't act like these characters are supposed to be humorless.

No, it's you who has never read a Marvel comic book. And I'm talking about the older comics, not any comic from 2008-present or whenever Marvel starting shitting all over their characters for no reason.

There were humor in the older comics, some of which is unintentionally comedic by today's standards - Captain America once faced off against a general who happened to be a sumo wrestler.

"When will a truly good Spider-Man movie be made?" 2002, 2004, and 2017.

Real Christian of you, huh, bud? (N.B.: this is the guy who criticized me, President Ackbar™ , @forceghostackbar , BATouttaheck , and several others, for making a light joke that he erroneously claimed was anti-Christian.) ShrunkenHeadonKnightBus , let me apologize to you on this jerk’s behalf, as he never will. He just enjoys baiting people—as, it seems, he has done now, with me. (As noted elsewhere… I’d be an awfully bad fish.)

I already blocked that guy, as a great woman once said, "Ain't nobody got time for that!"
