They do look good. We don't have Publix on the west coast. I Googled, and found that they're in the east/southeast. If ever I get to that area, I'll try one.
When I was in school ... many decades ago ... A & W had spectacular subs. They were quite generous, and inexpensive. I had a sorority sister who worked there. Often, several of us would give her 50 cents, and she'd bring one home, after work, for us to divide. Great stuff.

Agreed! I love their Cuban sandwich. those are great. i get 'em with banana peppers too. last time i went i got the ham & turkey and added bacon so it's kinda like an off menu, club sammy. very good. |

They have a Cuban sandwich ring on sale tonight. For anyone who isnt familiar, Publix is a supermarket in the southeast U.S. (I didnt see that mentioned in the whole thread). I have been there twice today. Their subs are far superior to Subway.

Publix subs reminds me of this sub place that used to be around my elementary school and I would get lunch from there. It was called "Great Subs and Salads". Their chocolate chip cookies that were included with the subs tasted amazing. |
