A typical New Year where I now live: Well, almost typical; it occasionally looks like something out of an action movie: Don't worry: the clock tower survived.

Doghouse6WHOA, was that 2nd explosion on "porpoise"? I remember a year or so ago some city accidentally had all of its fireworks go off simultaneously !
It's minus double digits here so will settle for looking at the pretty pictures :

Dunno, really. We usually keep our distance (we live on a hill about a mile south of downtown and can see most of it from our deck). Just read about a fireworks barge that exploded at Terrigal Beach, NSW, Australia. Only minor injuries to the two workers on the barge who dove into the water to escape.

New Years Eve in My Town, It's not always pleasant when gangs uses firecracker rockets to blow into other folks. We have so many rules about so many things, but firecrackers around New Year is a free for all, crazy Swedes. Still I wish everyone a beautiful New Year, And I hope more classics will be restored...

In this part of the world New Year's TV tradition incudes watching the Ball Drop at Times Square, Rock concerts and a morning playing of music from Vienna. Tele kindly posted the "One for Dinner" video that has an annual showing in Sweden and Germany. Any other traditional shows come to mind ? Meanwhile while you're thinking:

I'm not in the mood for searching for fireworks photos so I will be the old contrarian and just say:
HAPPY NEW YEAR EVERYBODY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Jeez, that took a lot out of me.
