Escape from New York Something very chilling about that image. I have been meaning of upgrading a few of my favorite John Carpenter movies, and not sure if any of the Blu-ray versions come with the bonus scene, which I believe were a bank robbery, going very bad, but was not included in the final version of the film.

I think you missed it but I also watched Axis Rising and even posted about that about a page behind (though for some reason you can't see the image anymore, can't be bothered to change it). Honestly, I didn't really like either of these movies. They lacked the charm of the older ones. The acting, dialogue and effects in both were pretty bad, but I think Axis of Evil was the lesser of the evils. Also do you remember us talking about our least favourite Puppets? Well I think I have a new one in Bombshell. Ohh. Okay. No. I didn't see that. I just saw you posted this one of a 'Puppet Master' movie and thought I would comment since you know I am a big fan of the franchise and I agree with you that the newer movies lack the charm of the older ones and I am not sure if it is 'cause Charles Band just doesn't have as many good ideas for them as he used to but I think they need to move further along with the timeline 'cause new decades will give them the opportunity to do new things they haven't done before and they could have one set in the 60s where the puppets face off with hippies at Woodstock for example but they have exhausted the 40s in my opinion. I don't blame you for not liking Bombshell and 'Axis Rising' was my least favourite. I don't think I asked you before but have you seen any of 'The Evil Bong' movies by Full Moon 'cause those are some really weird movies and I am not sure what Charles was on when he wrote them but some people must like them 'cause they have had a lot of sequels and there is even a 'Gingerdead Man vs. Evil Bong' movie I haven't seen. They should do a movie set in the 60s or something like that. That would actually be something different for them rather than the same old 40s setting over again. No I've not seen any of the Evil Bong movies but I don't really have much interest to.

Gerard Philipe and Gina Lollobrigida in Beauties of the Night aka Les belles de nuit 1952. The beauties of the night appears in the dreams of a striving and poor composer.

Memphis Belle (1990) Well done film although it stretches the historical record a bit (actually a whole bunch). Modine is good as well as the rest of the supporting cast. It's kind of funny seeing Sean Astin pretending to be ladies' man. Interesting how Harry Connick Jr. gets to show off his singing talent. Guess that should have been predictable. Billy Zane is good as usual, I sure wish history had been different and he became the "A" lister he should have been. CGI is a little weak, but it was 1990 so it's forgivable and doesn't really take you out of the action. The bluray is good, a huge step up from the non-anamorphic DVD. Plus it comes with the original wartime documentary of the Memphis Belle which is a nice bonus.
