The Mask (1994). Hot damn, has she ever looked more gorgeous? Poor Stanley, he really got taken for quite a ride in this one, but at least, one I think he surely did not regret. You're absolutely right, stefancrosscoe. Cameron Diaz has never looked better than she did in this film - though I wonder if part of the reason we think that is because she was 'new' back then and this was the movie that 'introduced' her (it was a bit odd/funny reading the credits at the start of the film 'And introducing Cameron Diaz'). I really enjoy this and it's my second favourite Jim Carrey film (Carrey was actually really likeable as Stanley). Milo the dog was an absolute standout. What I especially appreciated was that this film had a slightly 'dark'/'sinister' edge to it. I kind of like movies that are comedies but have a bit of unexpected 'darkness' to them. I also really liked the movie's theme, since it's kind of eerie.

Jannis Niewöhner and Josefine Preuß in Rubinrot aka Ruby Red 2013. German fantasy adventure about a girl who on her 16th birthday learns that she has the ability to time travel. The first in a trilogy, followed by Saphirblau 2014 and Smaragdgrün 2016, in English they were simply called Ruby Red II and Ruby Red III. Watched it on YT with English subtitles.

The Hills Have Eyes Part II (1984) You know, I've still never seen that one. How is it? It's not very good but also not too terrible. I feel like it falls very short of the original though, especially with Wes Craven returning as director. It feels too safe compared to the raw disturbance of the first film.
