Braindead (Dead Alive) Had some huge plans for including it into next months challenge, but could just not wait for so long, and re-watched earlier this month, and yeah, still it delivers the goods and more, a perfect 10/10 gross-out horror-comedy, with a big heart, lots of hilarious characters, scenes and one-liners, so instead I might head for The Frighteners or Bad Taste instead, later on. Which are not to bad choices either, maybe Frighteners is even more of a Halloween themed film in atmosphere and plot, or so I often felt it is.

Tentacles aka Tentacoli 1977. It's a Jaws clone, but this time it was an angry octopus. Oh yeah, I remember this one. The whole baby scene, and well, a whole lot of "nothing" later on, almost bored me to sleep. Still I have a copy of it, somewhere in my horror collection. So I guess that might mean I did not hate it, even though my rating probably lies around 3/10 or 4/10. It had a pretty neat title and artwork, along with lots of familiar names and faces, but never managed to live up to my probably way too big expectations. No it wasn't very good. I watched it for nostalgic reasons since I was a sucker for these kind of movies when I was a teen.

The Guard (2011) That one really caught me off "guard", as the nordic DVD back in 2012, had it to be this hilarious slapstick comedy, but while it was sure funny here and there, it was a much better movie than what the artwork had it down as, which is not too unusual either these days. Kind of want to give another go, but now is probably not the right time, as all my mind can think of is "Horror movies" for the next 4 weeks, more or less.

The Munsters Was it any good? Myself, I have no memories of The Munsters (the older version), while The Addams Family, now that is a different story.

I'll say this, it was better than that trailer made it look. But that still isn't saying much. It got a mild chuckle out of me here and there (Richard Brake is especially funny in it), and Sherri Moon Zombie and Daniel Roebuck both do a great job of replicating their characters from the original show; but Jeff Daniel Phillips's take on Herman Munster is a loud, annoying weak link, and there's just really never much of a plot across its unjustifiable hour-and-fifty-minute runtime.
