This guy is going to be dead soon lol. This dude is insane and I would not have felt sorry for him if he died which was entirely possible. The movie itself is gorgeous, but I don't care for the people. Minding the Gap should have won the Oscar. I don't see how a doc just showing a guy climbing a rock can be at all interesting unless he falls. How in the heck did they keep it from being boring, if they did? It's not boring, but it isn't terribly groundbreaking or controversial. The process is interesting and it's not just him waking up and saying he wants to climb it. I like documentaries that explain things I don;t know. There isn't a shock or a twist in it like most great documentaries have. The surprise is indeed that he survived because I have no idea how he did that except that he was driven to do so. However, he isn't really able to convey that obsession.. However, it's not particularly special unless you respect what mountain climbers do which I don't. That's partly the reason it took so long for me to watch it. Still the views are amazing and I imagine that is what gave it the Oscar win. To me, the climber is somewhat autistic (I think his mom said he has undiagnosed aspergers and I believe that).

Saoirse Ronan in Mary Queen of Scots (2018) Is that Movie any good ? Over recent years I have enjoyed historical dramas relating to England around this period. I have liked The Tudors, The White princess, The White Queen, and The Other Boleyn Girl and I was looking forward to this, but I was a bit disappointed. I found it slow moving with a dreary atmosphere. they even managed to make Margot Robbie unattractive. I suppose Elizabeth wasn't known for her looks and had to be less attractive than Mary, but they could have made her plain without making her look like a witch.
I'm not saying it's a terrible movie, it's well acted and interesting from an historical standpoint. I'm just saying I won't be watching it again.

I watched this after The favorite and The Favorite is so much better, I didn't particularly care for this. It was not horrible, but it felt more typical.

 That's a good one here teleadm !!
I guess we can consider ourselves really lucky
the birds of the world haven't started a war with humanity .
It's like character " Mrs. Bundy " said " if this were to happen we wouldn't stand a chance ! " . Let's just hope they don't want to ever because
I so enjoy their company and feeding
these feathery fine critters in the park makes me so glad too .
I have watched this movie a lot ( and for many years too )
and never tire of this one either
it just gets better with age ( IMPO of course ) .
Thanks so much for your wonderful and fun reply here too .
Hey mszan. I love birds to. And like you not just the movie but in real life as well. And also like you I feed them in the back yard where I have plenty of feeders I have either made, modified or repaired. I even made feeders for the squirrels to for keeping them away from the bird feeders and they have to eat to. Which reminds me. I gotta go and do the daily feeding now. See ya around on the board!
That's so awesome WarrenPeace !!
It's really nice to be able to enjoy these feathered friends
all year round especially in your own backyard
and having many bird feeders for them
is really cool indeed .
I also really like squirrels too
and I think that is so wonderful
that you have a separate feeder for them also ( of course if we know squirrels they tend to eat a lot it's that whole winter store up thing right ? ) . Enjoy feeding our wonderful little critters & friends there too !!
Thanks so much for your wonderful reply here also .

I like it how you and I are being nice to wild animals as well as to each other. Chipmunks, which I also get, store stuff. Squirrels eat it on the spot or as you are pointing out, burying it. I give them a mix I make that includes corn which means that sometimes corn stalks start growing in the backyard from what the little rascals buried! And they really love sunflower seeds... Not only do I have a stake for corn cobs in the S. feeders but I also put one on the ground where blue jays sometimes peck at it until a squirrel grabs it in his jaws and runs away with it which never fails to be entertaining! (Who doesn't love corn on the cob?) I put popcorn out today and no one is really going for it. Perhaps any of the nighttime animals will. So birds are my first favorite animal and squirrels are my second. What are your favorites? Doesn't it feel good to be good samaritans to our wild friends?

I certainly agree with you on all points here WarrenPeace !!
I actually adore all animals wild and domestic
and it's really difficult for me to choose just one favorite .
When I do get to the park to feed the birds
it's the usual array of these fine feathered critters
that my Hubby and I buy to feed them
they go for it like catnip to a cat .
For he Seagulls I will bring them fresh bread and popcorn because they just don't seem to take to the cracked corn at all
( perhaps too small or not flavorful for them to consume ? ) .
It is a wonderful feeling to be able to put a bit
of some happiness into an animals life
even if it's something so simple as
feeding them their favorite foods
and it certainly fills my heart
with such peace and joy
to be able to do this for them as well .

Starship Troopers 2: Hero of The Federation
I think that this Sequel had a Good Story and Cast but the way that the Movie was shot along with the CGI was just terrible.
