Alex Essoe in Starry Eyes (2014) What'd you think of the movie and Alex Essoe's performance in it, gspdude? I discovered this movie a few years back and have grown rather fond of it. I especially enjoyed Alex Essoe's performance as Sarah.

It's really a shame how screwed over both the Director of this Movie (Matthijs van Heijningen Jr.) and the Guys at ADI (Alec Gillis and Tom Woodruff Jr.) were by the Studio.
At the last minute, The Studio actually interfered with this Movie by having almost all of the Practical Effects in it get covered up with that Bad CGI and the Director and the Guys at ADI actually didn't even find out about it until they saw the Movie at it's Premiere.

I especially enjoyed Alex Esso's performance as Sarah. I liked Alex Esso's performance and hope to see her in something else, as I don't believe I've seen another movie of hers. I notice she is in Dr Sleep, but I'm guessing it might be a small role in a flashback since she is playing Wendy Torence. We shall see.
As for the movie, it had been on my "to see" list for a while. It was worth the watch but I felt it could've been better if they had allowed other characters to develop, either her friends and/or the 2 main villains. BTW, any suggestions for any other Alex Essoe movie, and thanks for the comment.

Fred Claus Was on AMC Mon night... not as bad as it could've been (or as critics suggest), not as good either with Vaughn, Giamatti, Weisz, Spacey, Bates, & Richardson. The best move was having them buy into their lore - that Fred was actually Santa's brother, not some shoehorned stunt. Kinda like Elf, but less polish. They did a good job with the North Pole, in a Polar Express kinda way. Not a classic, obviously, & yet it was oddly fascinating & enjoyable enough.
