 Kurt Katch, Maria Montez and Frank Puglia in Ali Baba and the Forty Thieves 1944, old fashioned technicolor adventure, and Yes they say "Open Sesame" An old discussion of actors/actresses on CFB you never seen in a movie, and the woman in the middle was the main reason I watched it at first, never seen her before, only heard about her. The movie was much more enjoyable than I thought it would be.

 Jewel of the Nile (1985) I fell asleep watching this one last night. I've seen it numerous times and I still think there was the potential for a really great film here. Somehow it just never really comes together for me. |

Eric Roberts and Stan Lee in The AmbulanceThat is a good one. Need to re-watch it someday, as I love the cheesy yet suspenseful and thrilling combination of comedy, romance, action and horror. Maybe my favorite film of Larry Cohen, behind only The Stuff (1985).

The War of the Satellites  The special effects are laughably bad even for 1958, the plot is exceptionally thin, but the strength of the cast makes this watchable. And it's only an hour and six minutes, so if you've got nothing else to do for an hour, why not? |
