Remember the short-lived fad of age-swap/body-swap comedy movies of the late 1980's, were Big 1988 with Tom Hanks was the big winner? Well, this was one of the other ones: Fred Savage and Judge Reinhold after the swap in Vice Versa 1988, good premise from an old 1882 novel, a few chuckles and some really good gags, but sadly that was it

Lee J. Cobb, William Holden and Nina Foch in The Dark Past (1948) Heard about it, but never seen it myself, with Holden playing "against type". Worth searching out some day?

Very funny movie.

Some questionable use of psychology IMO (Cobb plays a police psychologist), but worth watching for the stars. Lois Maxwell, only 21 at the time, plays Cobb's wife, but looks and acts mature enough to pull it off.

Well, this was one of the other ones: Fred Savage and Judge Reinhold after the swap in Vice Versa 1988, good premise from an old 1882 novel, a few chuckles and some really good gags, but sadly that was it I re-watched Vice Versa last year. Not sure if I gave it a 4/10 or a 5/10, or more. But it felt like a low budget version of Big, even if it acutally arrived much earlier than Big to the cinemas back then. As much as I liked Judge Reinhold in Beverly Hills Cop (1984), he never quite seemed to hit the same heights, when he got the opportunity (several times) to star as the leading man. Not saying he was bad, but maybe just unlucky with what he was offered to work with. Still, the sweet and lovely Corinne Bohrer appears, and that alone makes it worth to sit through.

From my Italian vaults Pietro Germi (also director) and future sex bomb Claudia Cardinale in The Facts of Murder aka Un maledetto imbroglio 1959, an Italian crime noir, and not bad at all
