Just out of curiosity, what did you rate the film with? Always been one of my favorite Willis films of the 90s, even if it might be seen as one of his "lesser" ones at the time. Really enjoyed the combination of serial killer crime theme, along with a more explosive and fun filled action routine, along with quite a solid cast of character actors as well. Did not hurt, that Sarah Jessica Parker looked real fine in this one, too.

The Three Musketeers (1993) I really want to rewatch that^ movie, as I haven't seen it in a long time. Unfortunately, it hasn't been available on DVD for quite a while and they never seen to air it on TV here. I remember enjoying it quite a bit. imdb2.freeforums.net/thread/72438/musketeers-1993

Ah, not that far off my rating, which most likely is a bit too generous. But I always liked the film, and it is one of my favorite Bruce Willis 90s titles. So I ended up with an 8/10.

When I read afterwards that Bruce Willis had interfered a lot in the making of the film, making it more of an action movie, that explained a lot. Yeah, I remember hearing or reading something similar, that Bruce maybe had gotten a bit too big for himself, and wanted more action, than suspense, to please his Die Hard audience. But then again, I believe the director was Rowdy Harrington, who did Road House (1989), so it is no surprise that it would rely on a bit of action and over-the-top scenes, here and there. I think they also re-shoot several scenes, which did not sit too well with Willis, and he dismissed and bad mouthed the film later on, as one of his worst or less "enjoyable" movies to make. Well, I guess up till that point, he might have felt so, but now, with all his generic and boring as hell, DTV/VOD releases, his lesser 90s movies look like cinematic masterpieces in comparison.

Remembered this as a very violent and brutal movie, and it still is. Yaphet Kotto and Anthony Quinn in Across 100th Street 1972

IMDB2.freeforums.net/thread/72438/musketeers-1993 It’s nothing groundbreaking, but it’s a lot fun and it shows in the performances of the cast. Especially Oliver Platt and Tim Curry. The film definitely has a lot nostalgia for me. It was the first ever film I hired out (or personally picked) from a video store. I recently picked up a DVD copy from a local market place. Actually saw another copy of it today at the markets. You might be able to get a copy from a CEX store, if there’s one near you? But you can tell it’s a really old DVD I got of the film, as it’s a double sided disc. I didn’t realise until I was watching it last night, as it just stop halfway through the film. Before realising I had to get up to flip it over to finish it. Obviously the film is in-need of a Region 4 upgrade.
