Just purchased Deep Purple's album Machine Head on CD. Today I listened to the album via Spotify, and liked it enough to buy the CD (I always prefer to own a physical copy of the music in my collection)
A few days ago I bought something completely different, a CD called Mum & Dad Bought Their Records At Woolies, which features various 1950s-era recordings from the infamous cheapo Embassy label.
In terms of DVDs, I bought the 1958-1959 BBC TV mini-series Our Mutual Friend.
EDIT: Just bought the CD Heart First by Hazell Dean.
EDIT again: Just bought Frida's 1996 album Djupa andetag. This is the last album by the former ABBA member.

Purchased the following TV series DVDs:
"Trumpton" - 1967 UK children's series. Complete series.
"Chigley" - 1969 UK children's series. Complete series.
"Nu, pogodi!" - 1969-onwards cartoon series from former Soviet Union. 18 episodes. The DVD has no English subtitles, but that's not a problem, as the series had minimal dialogue.

You've had some excellent hauls over the past few weeks! I particularly like: River's Edge (How's that one look, btw?), Ed Wood, One Dark Night, Re-Animator & Mean Streets. All terrific films. Remain in Light is easily my favorite Talking Heads release.  I need to check out 'The Psychic' sometime. Fulci could do no wrong in the 70's... and speaking of, I can't wait for Arrow to release 'Don't Torture a Duckling' next month. Definitely one of my favorites. |

"River's Edge" looks just fine. The only extra of note is a commentary by the director, but it's a good one.
"Remain in Light" is an enjoyably funky album. "Once in a Lifetime" may have been the big hit (and I do like it), but the balance of the album is even more interesting.
I should have known. The fact that I found "The Psychic", and for a good price, to boot, was because a Blu is coming soon. But that's okay. I don't need to get every Blu that comes out.
I'm looking forward to the "Don't Torture a Duckling" release. I've only seen it once before, and remember precious little about it.
