DVDTwo Films by Yasujiro Ozu: The Only Son / There Was A FatherThe Warped World of Koreyoshi Kurahara: Intimidation / The Warped Ones / I Hate But Love / Black Sun / Thirst For Love That "Warped World" box looks pretty cool. I don't think I've ever seen anything from Kurahara before, but in reading the details they seem pretty interesting. There's a ton of those Criterion Eclipse series I'd love to have. So far I've only bought "When Horror Came to Shochiku".

So far I've only bought "When Horror Came to Shochiku". Looking forward to getting into it. Haven’t seen any Kurahara yet either, but they all sound interesting and I like a lot of other Japanese films from that era. This is my fifth Eclipse set after Early Bergman, Late Ozu, Oshima and Kobayashi. The Bergman’s a little lacklustre, but otherwise I’ve been pretty happy with them. I’ve thought about the Shochiku set, but my next (funds pending ) will probably be the Nikkatsu Noir (which features another Kurahara and an early Suzuki) or the Czech New Wave.

Music:
Stax Classics (Booker T. & the MG's) (CD)
Movies:
Cape Fear (1962) (Blu-ray)
A Few Good Men (Blu-ray)
High Plains Drifter (40th Anniversary Edition) (Blu-ray)
The King of Comedy (Blu-ray)
To Live and Die in L.A. (Blu-ray + DVD Combo Pack)
Table for Five (DVD)
Good stuff there! Mitchum was excellent in Cape Fear and De Niro gives one of my favorite performances of his in King of Comedy. Is that the Shout or MGM version of 'To Live and Die in L.A.? I've got the MGM version, which looked pretty good, so I doubt I'll get it again. Great movie! You gots to love some Booker T.
It's the original MGM release of To Live and Die in L.A. I decided I'd save some money and get the cheaper version. $5 versus over $30 for the Shout Select release was a no-brainer.

Some KL Studio Classics goodness there. Wolf Lake, Fuzz, and especially The Laughing Policeman are worth a look. Assassination is one of Bronsons' weakest from the Cannon Group era, IMHO.

My 45 record of "I'm A Big Boy Now"/"If That Ain't Lovin' (I Don't Know What Is)" from my late beautiful precious Steve Sanders of the Oak Ridge Boys came in the mail today.
God bless you and his family always!!!

I wasn't sure if there was more than one film with that title. Yeah, this is the one with Nicholson.

Good times are ahead when you put on "Steele Justice" and "Ninja III". Very fine 80s cheese.

I couldn't find it on CD, so I bought Cyndi Grecco's album Making Our Dreams Come True on iTunes. Yes, an album by the singer of the theme song for Laverne and Shirley.

I've been tempted to get Skull Island, myself..... even though everything I've heard isn't all that great.
