Agree that it's overrated but I did enjoy many episodes.

What's the worst show that a lot of people like? The Big Bang Theory. I'm sure it's terrible but I've never seen a second of it so really can't comment.

What's the worst show that a lot of people like? The Big Bang Theory. The first 2 seasons were great, however it nosedived fairly quickly after that.

tie of:
Kardashian crap. [the Klingons should just kill them and get it all over with] the big bang theory how i met your mother cheers taxi most tyler perry crap. never got maude. good times with the rare episodes that were good -usually when a guest star is getting hurt or something.
then we have the surprise single parent crap... jane the virgin, baby daddy, that monstrosity accidentally on purpose! and these are sitcoms! don't get me started on teenmom and 16 and pregnant. i am confused, are you trying to discourage kids from finding themselves up the pole? cause you're going about it the wrong way!

Easy one for me – Game Of Thrones. I was arrival, but wanted to see it for years. When I finally got access to the HBO app, I checked it out. I didn't get past season one. There's no substance to it. If it wasn't about sex, murder, and double-crossing, it would not be popular. It's shock value TV.

I feel like this question comes up several times a year. Why don't we call it like it is-not overrated-but shows that get a lot of buzz, but you think is crap. And have you actually tried to watch an episode, or are you basing it solely on the enormous amount of money, er, promos the network is willing to shell out?
Mine would be Kartrashians, & any Teen mom crap. But obviously someone is watching since these are still on.

I get why Breaking Bad is great even if I'm not into it. My issue with overrated shows is the notion that the praise is sincere. For example, what makes Jessica Jones great?

My issue with overrated shows is the notion that the praise is sincere. For example, what makes Jessica Jones great?Strong protagonist, excellent villain, interesting conflict and look at the deeper implications of superpowers that many other superhero shows/movies gloss over... The villain would have been superb if not for the way he was handled. Quite possibly my favorite Marvel villain as far as ability and potential purpose goes. There was nothing anymore special about Jessica Jones herself than any other woman leading a show. Honestly she spent much of the time being weak but talking tough.

I won't start to itemize why I disagree with you, as this is not a Jessica Jones thread. You can disagree all you may want, and that's fine...personal tastes are just that... But I was mostly responding because of the way it was set up by the rest of your post: Why does Jessica Jones not qualify for your "I get why it's great even if I'm not into it"?
