Music:Purple Rain Deluxe (Expanded Edition)(3CD/1DVD) Movies:Sinister (2012) [Blu-Ray] Sinister 2 (2015) [Blu-Ray] Insidious: Chapter 3 (2015) [Blu-Ray]
I've seen the first "Sinister" and the first "Insidious". They were decent enough.
Damn, that release of "Purple Rain" must have tons of stuff on it.

Movies:
54 (The Director's Cut) (Unrated) (Blu-ray)
Batman: The Movie (Special Edition) (Blu-ray)
Headspace (Director's Cut) (Blu-ray)
The Man from Planet X (Blu-ray)
'The X Files' (The Complete Season 2) (Blu-ray)
Scary Movie 3 (DVD)
I didn't know that Shout! had released 'The Man from Planet X'.... tempting.
Yeah, they even recorded two commentaries for the Blu. Usually, their releases of movies from the 50s, 60s, and 70s are short on bonus features. I watched it last weekend and can safely say that it looks and sounds fine.

'Lips of Blood' is my favorite from Rollin. I'll be curious as to the quality of picture on that one. That "Prison Yard" collection looks pretty nifty. I don't think I've seen any of 'em except for 'The Last Detail' (which is great). I've got 'Caltiki the Immortal Monster' on my wish list. For an Arrow release, it's being sold at a fairly reasonable price.

Yeah, Amazon was selling "Caltiki" for just $15.41, so I made the purchase.
"Lips of Blood" looks fine on Blu. Nothing spectacular, but a perfectly acceptable picture. It comes with an introduction by Rollin, an interview with one of the actresses, and an extensive liner notes booklet by Tim Lucas.

I think I've heard of Saxon, but am not familiar with their music.
Will have to check out "Cabo Blanco" at some point. I do love me some Bronson flicks.
"The Purge" is alright. Have never seen the sequels. "Mama" is likewise decent enough.

I'm positive you'd dig 'Saxon'. They were very influenced by Priest and AC/DC. I played their Strong Arm of the Law album about a gazillion times during sophomore year of high school...

I'll be so happy when 'The Abyss' is finally released on blu-ray. I actually didn't hate 'Evil Dead' (2013) quite like I figured I would... not that it even compares to any of the Campbell entries. Terror Firmer is stupid, dumb fun.

'Wheels of Steel' or 'Strong Arm of the Law'..... either one would make for a great starting point. Both were released in '80.

I've got that album pulled up on youtube right now. Very nice!

Terror Firmer is stupid, dumb fun. Yeah, no kidding. It's taking long enough for "The Abyss" to get the deluxe Blu-ray treatment.
Agreed. "Evil Dead" '13 isn't all that bad. It's just not that great, either. Mean spirited and gory, but it could have used more humor and more of a fun factor. Then again, I guess they had to differentiate it from the '81 classic somewhat. That is still my favorite in the series, although "Army of Darkness" is of course very funny and quotable.
"Terror Firmer" wasn't a bargain, but I couldn't resist anyway. I don't often see Troma releases in the stores that I haunt. Then again...maybe it was a bargain. Release could be OOP for all I know.
