It would be a Cinderella story for the ages if Buffalo won. A wager on the Rams at 12-1 sounds like a good Vegas bet.

As I said earlier, this is all leading up to another Patriots SB win (and I say that NOT as a Patriots fan).....but if I had to bet on a dark horse, for some reason the Saints seem to me, to have lately re-discovered a bit of their 'eye of the tiger' from a few years back (of course, because I've now said that, look for them to IMMEDIATELY bow out against Carolina)....... I'd put the Wentz-less Eagles at least as low as the Panthers if not lower. The Eagles with better odds than the Falcons? No way. If we survive the Rams we'll decimate the Eagles. Just look at how they played in the last three games.

vikings 4-1? are they really that good? I have been holding my tongue about the Vikings due to my extreme superstition regarding them, but yes they are good. Take a look at this: 3rd in third down converstions 1st in catches that are contested 6th in first down conversions 1st in total defense (2nd against the pass. 2nd against the run) 2nd in 1st down defense 1st in 3rd down defense They are a complete team. Now I've done it. The jinx is on.

I'm intrigued by Matty Ice and the Falcons having a chip on their shoulder now that they're at 'the dance' after what happened last year. Is it that absurd to think that Goff craps the bed in his 1st postseason game ever? And then the Falcons travel to Minny - another domed stadium where they're comfortable - and Keenum proceeds to lay an egg as well? All sets up nicely for the Falcons coming to the Linc for the NFC Championship game provided they get by the Saints/Panthers winner

Not the Saints/Panthers winner. They would only be able to play against the Saints or Panthers in case one of these survive until the NFC Championship Game.

Never even thought of the 'seeding' aspect and over the past few days have been looking at the Saints/Panthers potential winner. What is your opinion of the Falcons knocking off the Rams. It's Goff's first playoff appearance. Weather (i.e. the cold) won't be a factor for a 'domed' team going out there. I get you're a Falcons fan - correct - all bias aside. It's not out of the realm of possibility.

They looked unimpressive against the 49ers. I think they peaked too early and are coming down to Earth a little so, yeah, they are beatable. But it doesn't mean they can't beat us. They can. But I'm actually feeling good about this game. I was much more worried about the Saints, so it was good for us that the Bucs beat the Saints in the last few seconds, sending us to LA instead of NO. Of course, just saying this invites the fear that I'm jinxing it and will end up with egg on my face.

Granted the Rams and Vikes may have better 'all around teams'; however Brees, Cam and Ryan have all been to 'the show'. I may be in the minority here as I am a lot - but as an Eagles fan - I'd rather take my chances with the Rams or Vikes - being it's Goff's and Keenum's first time on the Big Stage. The way I see it - anybody can pretty much knock off anybody - but I don't want a prior SB appearing QB Superstar with a chip on his shoulder coming in - give me Keenum or Goff with the lights shining on them for the first time as opposed to Cam, Brees and Ryan

Tom Brady being one of them and we all know how that went.

That's a good point - one of which I just stated to a coworker about Foles Didn't know it was 7 though - I brought up Hostetler and Johnson

Foles has been awful lately and if he starts off badly then the Philly crowd will turn on him quick. Then "home field advantage" won't mean shit.

For some reason - I really don't think they will turn on him. It's not his fault Wentz went down. I think the city sees that and he's not even half the player Wentz is. I think a lot of people as you can see are expecting them to be one and done. They're not going to be calling for Nate Sudfeld after that game against the Cowboys. That was my fear - that Sudfeld lit it up and there would be people calling for him to play. It's Foles or nothing. The guy has played well during his career at times - and granted he's looked awful too. I'm solely chalking this up as 'anything can happen'. Wouldn't shock me if they lost. Wouldn't shock me if they won. It's nice to have a home playoff game here for the first time in awhile. Real future is Wentz.

I think a lot of us are going to be playing the, "what if" game and looking at one or two plays gone wrong that killed our dream. For the Colts, it was somewhere around week 1.

Any odds on next year's Superbowl yet? I've got $50 says the Browns win it all.
