Nice takedown by Robert Quinn stops Matt Ryan short.

We can't dismiss Mariota's spectacular second half performance simply as a Kansas City choke. Sure, they did choke, but if he had played any less well, the Titans would still have lost. Credit needs to be given where credit is due. See, I'm no Titans fan and no Mariota fan. Just, as a football lover, I can'd deny that what he did in the second half was pretty special. Brock Osweiler won us a playoff game....you want Brock? (Ask Denver how that went.) Let's be fair, he was playing opposite a third-string rookie QB who was making his first ever start, in the playoffs, on the road. Osweiler couldn't possibly lose that Raider game.

Credit needs to be given where credit is due. See, I'm no Titans fan and no Mariota fan. Just, as a football lover, I can'd deny that what he did in the second half was pretty special. No doubt....but it happens. Like I said, Eli beat Tom twice...who'd you rather have? Trent D and B Johnson both have SBowl rings....you want them over Marino? Brock Osweiler won us a playoff game....you want Brock? (Ask Denver how that went.) Titans played KC, a KC team you and I both werent even sure theyd get to the playoffs, remember my friend? Remember how we both saw KC losing game...and another...and another....and another. Hey, 14 votes were cast who'd win...KC Vs Titans, I picked Ten, only me. Why, because you and I saw it...KC was wetting the bed the 2nd half of this season, at times we put them in the "TBD" category. KC from game 1 to game 17...not the game. I thought Reid and the Chiefs would choke it away, and I was right. Eli out played Tom twice...you really want Eli > Tom, no. As the movie says,"Any Given Sunday." (Good film btw). Where did I say that I'd rather have Mariota than any other QB, much less Tom Brady? I'm pretty happy with Matty Ice, by the way. But I have to tip my hat to Mariota's performance today, the *way* he did it. He treated us to two facts that occurred just twice (counting today) in the entire history of the league, scored a TD himself in spectacular fashion (pretty fast thinking), blocked a defender to allow his runner to score, was very accurate in passing, extended plays running, played under pressure for two full quarters (any failure and they'd have lost, since they were behind by so many points) and still prevailed. I'm not saying he is one of the top QBs in the league. I'm just saying that he had a second half performance today, for the ages, won the game for his team coming from behind 18 points, and I'm saying that a 3rd year QB who does that can't be called a bust. I'm not calling him elite or anything. But a bust???

Falcons up 3-0, Falcons defense is doing a tremendous job once again, they are playing aggressive, they are getting pressure and the coverage is tight. Nice to see this carryover from the excellent outing week 17. The offense needs to get something going though.

I was wrong about the Chiefs and up to this point I'm wrong about this game. I did not expect a defensive battle.

Too early, though, but it's been a good start, on the road. 6-0, good first quarter. Could have been better with TDs instead of FGs, but pretty decent, with the defense holding very well when all pundits were saying that the dangerous Rams offense would be too much for us.

Dick LeBeau says he enjoys life in Tennessee. He's heading back to the playoffs with the Titans.

Bet the Rams wish they had Zuerlein back to contend with Bryant for these field goals. What they have is a rookie kicker. Then again, they need to get in field goal range first.

2 fumbles on returns so far, let’s convert this one into a TD. Getting TD’s has been another thing we haven’t been efficient at.

Breaking news: The Panthers are facing a wave of illness (they didn't say which one, I assume the flu) that knocked out four of their players already. I think this does it. The Panthers needed all they could muster to beat the Saints on the road, and if they get a bunch of sick guys and maybe even more than four, they are done! ---------- TD Atlanta!!! 13-0!!!

I hate when home teams wear their road unis. Pet peeve of mine. Rams are wearing white. I hate when leagues have contractually obligated time frames for uniforms. Rams should've been allowed to go blue-white 2yrs ago. So f'ing stupid.

I'll tell you what. The Falcons are sure playing a lot harder that the Rams. That TD was awesome.
