The Cars will enter the Rock N Roll Hall Of Fame in 2018 alongside Nina Simone, the Moody Blues, Dire Straits, Bon Jovi and Sister Rosetta Tharpe. Here's an article you might enjoy in 'Rolling Stone' : Ric Ocasek speaks to 'Rolling Stone'The Cars play the Agora in Cleveland, Ohio ...

Thanks for posting that article. Ric always struck me as a down-to-earth kind of guy. I'll always be a little jealous (and a little happy for him) that he managed to catch the attention of one of the most beautiful women in the world. I remember an interview with Paulina where she said when she first met Ric, she thought he was the handsomest man she'd ever seen. If they perform at the induction ceremony, I wonder who will take Orr's place. With today's technology it might be cool to feature a hologram like the one of John Coltrane in Vanilla Sky.

Hi Sulla. The movie I think of when I think of Paulina Porizkova is Bruce Beresford's 'Her Alibi' (1989) with Tom Selleck. Nice actress. Ric Ocasek does seem like a cool guy. I appreciate every band going into the Hall in 2018; as a Brit, I applaud inclusion for the Moodies & Dire Straits. The Cars rock the house!

It wasn't very popular here in the States, but I don't care. I always enjoy watching her. Yeah, the Moody Blues and Dire Straits are long overdue for inclusion into the Hall.

It is great to hear they are finally going in the 'Rock & Roll Hall of Fame' along with the Moody Blues and Bon Jovi and it is just a shame Benjamin Orr isn't alive for it 'cause to me Benjamin Orr was the best singer in the Cars and I like Ric and have a number of his solo albums but I liked Ben's songs the most and his solo album, 'The Lace' and if they ever make another Cars album they should put 'I'm Comin' Home Tonight', 'Do You Know What It Feels Like' and 'River of Fire' on it from his second unreleased solo album.

s14.postimg.cc/a3asbb66p/Meganium_Normal_Sprite.gif I just recently got into The Cars over the past year. I was checking out some of their songs on youtube, and I was surprised to see Ben singing most of their well known songs. I always thought Ric sang on everything.

Ben sang a number of their songs like 'Drive', 'Just What I Needed', 'Let's Go', 'It's All I Can Do', 'Bye Bye Love', 'It's Not the Night' and 'Coming Up You' and if you like the Cars there was another band Ric and Ben were in before the Cars called 'Milkwood' and it is slightly different than the Cars and is Folk Rock but it is worth checking out.
