Depends on the genres, really, but at least in terms of the mainstream I think for me what stands out is the (re)emergence of rap, r&b, and star-oriented pop dominating over the ever-dwindling genre of alt. rock/pop.

By "depends on the genres" I meant "talking about music during '95 to '05 would depend on what genres we're talking about" since it's hard to talk about general music trends without discussing specific genres. I'm not entirely certain when the shift started and culminated, but I got the impression it was more towards the end of the 90s/early 00s. |

Oh, I thought you meant you had different answers but for only a couple genres. Is it too much to ask for you to say all the answers that you have? |
