Gary Cooper began his film career working in silent pictures, Riders of the Purple Sage (1925) pictured, starred Tom Mix, Cooper had a bit part as a rider uncredited, seen at the back of the pack in this still, although he is a standout in that cowboy hat ! Cooper worked for several Poverty Row studios, known for his skills as a horseman led to steady paying work in Westerns, he found the stunt work "tough and cruel" and was keen to move on and up...

LOL Bruce Willis as "Man Entering Diner as Delaney Leaves"
That reminds me of Bruce Willis in the courtroom in the Verdict. Lots of head shakes and nods to draw attention.

Must have been tough on 12 year old Alan Hale Jnr, the scenes with him from his film debut in, Wild Boys of the Road (1933) ended up on the cutting room floor. His only appearance in the film, as the child whose photograph the judge looks at fondly while considering the fate of the youths... Not detered Hale went on to a prolific Film career and of course a very successful television personality... deleted scene , Hale grabs Frankie Darro...

Is Hale the kid grabbing or the kid in the middle? I think the kid in the middle looks like a young Skipper.
