It may or may not be deeply ironic and a searing condemnation of something or other, but it sounds as grinningly inane as Paul McCartney fronting a Salvation Army band, so I don't like it at all. At least it's not Stand though. I'm grateful for small mercies.

It's Average, which is a "Bad" song for REM...According to Stipe, the song was meant to be ironic, but never fleshed out...Came off as, well, HAPPY...
