Bear in mind I've only seen trailers, and maybe 12 mins of the first one, but the movies look pretty bad. Does anyone take them seriously?
And I cannot deal with Lin Shaye, who has been in every horror movie ever made.

I like them. I think they have some good scares. Often jump ones, but far more effective than most.

They are generic and lame. The first one isn't particularly terrible or particularly good, but the second is a step down, and the third even worse. Haven't see this new spinoff one, but I guess I just don't understand the appeal of the James Wan style. I haven't especially liked any of his stuff, and those movies are very much in line with his brand of generic, slick, expensive, studio horror movies.

They are pretty bad, in my opinion. Boring, cliche, pretentious and annoying pieces of crap.
