It's the relentless energy through the cinematography, endless soundtrack, lively performances, and rib ticking brutality. Plus anything Pesci says is pure gold.

It's better than Goodfellas. I actually agree, even though it is a minority opinion. Both movies are a 10/10 for me, but I like Casino better. |

I recall seeing it on network TV, and it was so edited, but and the dialog cleaned up, it was actually comical!!! "Fudge that!!!"

Agreed. Casino always felt kinda lopsided and shapeless in comparison to "Goodfellas" in my opinion. |

I also really like many of the supporting cast.
The more I watched it, the more I started to really appreciate Sharon Stone's performance as the woman you grow to hate. After running into Ace's car a few times with the neighbors watching, she's out on the front lawn yelling and acting completely insane. So far that role has been her only Oscar nomination. James Woods as Lester is appropriately sleazy. It was fun to see Alan King, Don Rickles and Dick Smothers in serious roles. The faces Catherine Scorsese makes as her character's son uses obscene language. And even the little girl, Amy, antagonizing Lester in the background while Ginger is on the phone. As usual for Scorsese, the soundtrack is outstanding.
Some scenes still crack me up.
"From now on, I want you to put an equal amount of blueberries in each muffin. An equal amount of blueberries in each muffin."

I still think Sharon Stone gives the best female acting performance I have ever seen. I hated her so much and I was supposed to.
