Frosty over at Collider has exclusive reports that Deadpool director Tim Miller is writing a new Kitty Pryde spinoff film at Fox. youtu.be/6kEVqAdEJD4(Its the opening story of the video) Frosty also makes a good point that Fox has to operate normally as if there was no impending merger and until Disney takeover is completed 100% - which could take some time, nothing in Foxs slate changes significantly. As for the film itself, it would be awesome combination of director and comic character. Really hope that these solo films along with Gambit, X23, Multiple Man can go through all the way to release. Cue the hate with, "but but continuity is all over the place!!!11 "

They could've done this stuff years ago and didn't. Only now, when their studio is going to be changing hands.
Cowards.

There were talks around 2009 after Origins in what direction to take the X-franchise and they were considering solo spin off films including a Magneto one. That was rightly scrapped to continue the main series with First Class. They didnt have a pre-existing plan like the MCU did with an overarching story so its unfair to compare.

Hey! Hey!
Hey!
Do you guys remember when I said that you can make a movie out of any character and some of you guys were all "nuh uh" and I was like "yeah huh" and I said here's how you can make a Kitty Pryde movie and some of you were all "you can't make a Kitty Pryde movie!" and I was like "You just won't like the idea until they say they are going to make it" and you all were like "nuh uh we'll think you can't make it then!"
Cause I remember it.

Doesn't mean it'll actually happen though, Fox was planning a Daredevil movie and it would've happened if they gave in to Marvel's original proposition regarding certain character film rights.

You make that sound like a bad thing about Daredevil. Truthfully I think the series was the best way to go with him.

So much egg on their face. I think that's why they held out on the other rights they had. Can't let another studio make something better than what you did.

Truthfully I think the series was the best way to go with him. there is no real excuse. truth is marvel only wants goofy comedy childish nonsense with MCU films. Daredevil does not fit that equation so he was dumped on Netflix to fade as we have seen with daredevil season 2 and defenders.Take a show like Legion, if Noah Hawley says he wants to make a movie in the future, Fox will tell him to go ahead and make the movie. MCU will say no. no way, since Legion is way too smart and deeply cares about the consciousness of grown ups to make the cut to one of their movies. DD exposed all the problems we all predicted marvel was going to run into. the only problem with this prediction is, we never expected it will extend to actual film craft hatred all across the board to the point of the genre almost loosing credibility for many film artists and long time comic book fans.

This story is seeming more and more like a pipe dream. None of the trades has picked it up.

Not missing on the Original Topic. I wonder what Tim Miller had to do to get this film deal. something fishing or maybe this is the end of the gambit movie. Let fox pour all their resources to miller's vision of Ms Pryde. Interesting that fox will go to Disney in a few years, yet they picked miller, one of the mcu disney haters that made Deadpool to spite mcu movies. the irony is rich

there is no real excuse. truth is marvel only wants goofy comedy childish nonsense with MCU films. Says you. There's plenty of serious stuff in the MCU, just no "grounded" sell-out nonsense. No they won't. Isn't worth a movie. Like what, they enjoy variety?

And if they offered Miller a job he'd jump to them without a second thought.

Thats Deadpools character though he isn't suppose to be serious like other characters Nice double standard. If it's a character you like it's okay but no one else gets that tolerance.
