DSDSquaredIt's simply my honest opinion is all. also, I have stated it before... I never considered myself a great reviewer as I am simply not that great with words like pro reviewers etc are. so basically... your just getting my honest opinion is all. I realize I am probably in the minority on that though. but I think we are all there sometimes as I would assume it's true with you too in that sometimes your with the majority and sometimes your against it, correct? p.s. for the record... I used to think Batman (1989) was a solid movie at one point. so if i based it on my peak enjoyment of that movie vs Suicide Squad then I would side with Batman (1989). but since I don't do that and base it on my overall enjoyment of them today, then at this point in time, Suicide Squad is simply the more enjoyable movie to watch of the two. taylorfirst1I don't follow comic book's so I don't base my opinion strictly on that standard like I am guessing others around here do. I base it on who's more interesting to watch on screen in that role and in that regard Ledger's the clear cut #1 Joker.

I disagree with most of your film opinions but I really enjoy reading your unique and quite different/unpopular opinions and perspective nonetheless.

salomonj I guess ill say thanks(?). I was just making a point is all to those two comments which was a decent counter argument if you ask me. sure, what i said does not really prove anything but since we all have our opinions on movies then there really is no 'correct' answer as about the best one could do with a 'correct' answer when it comes to movies is whether someone is in the majority or minority as I would figure that's the best way to judge a movies worth in the long term is based on wide public opinion. so in this regard i would be "wrong", at least around here. even going by estimated ticket sales I would be in the minority (at least domestically)... -Batman (1989) = 62,954,600 -Suicide Squad (2016) = 38,179,100 I used ticket sales as I figure that's a more accurate judgement of a movies popularity in the theaters than purely $$$ as it removes inflation out of the equation and looks at how many tickets where actually bought by a person. hence, how many times it was viewed in the theaters. so while that's just a estimate, chances are Batman sold more tickets than Suicide Squad did and not to mention even straight up $$$, $411.3mil for Batman (1989) is quite a bit in general especially for 1989. but then again those ticket sales are not worlds apart though either so while I would guess I am still in the minority on the whole Batman vs Suicide Squad thing... I would have to assume there is more than 7% of the general public (given the general poll in here) who prefers Suicide Squad (2016) over Batman (1989). but I could be wrong here but I would have to think there is a decent chance I am right to. but even if i was correct it's hard for me to guess what the percentages would be with the masses, like if you got millions of people voting on which they like better between Batman (1989) and Suicide Squad (2016), on these two movies. if i had to take a wild guess at the moment ill say something like 80/20 in favor of Batman (1989) but for all I know I could be under or overestimating that. I would guess at the very least Batman would have a 60/40 edge but probably more than that which is why I would think more along the lines of 70/30 in favor of Batman and could be higher which is why I took my best guess and went with 80/20 (i.e. about 8 out of 10 would prefer Batman over Suicide Squad). basically I would guesstimate that to be somewhere around 7 to 8 out of every 10 voters(i.e. about 70-80%), like if we have millions of votes, to prefer Batman over Suicide Squad. but if it's similar to how this IMDb2 poll is (i.e. 93 out of every 100 people), I would be a little surprised. but if that 93 out of 100 stuff was true amongst a wide range of people then clearly very few would agree with me at that point. but anyways, when looking at my favorite movies... I am in the majority here and there but I am also in the minority a decent portion of the time to. but I suspect this could be applied to most people as I figure just about everyone who has say 200 movies as their favorites they are bound to have some movies in there that are not that popular especially once you have seen plenty of movies. but come to think of it... given I only like about 3 out of every 10 movies I see over the long run that probably means ill be in the minority a good portion of the time. but then again, it makes me wonder how many people claim they like a movie only to never see it again as to me a true test of a movies worth is whether it's a movie you re-watch from time-to-time as the years pass. so in that regard I 'might' not be that far off from most people ; because while i basically give a Thumbs Down to about 7 out of 10 movies I see over the long run I would say the majority of them were at least decent enough not to waste my time (i.e. a decent enough one time viewing). so if I based things on that standard then I am probably inline enough with most people I guess. just some thoughts p.s. hell, even if Suicide Squad had more ticket sales than Batman that does not necessarily mean it would be more popular with the masses between those two movies as it could vary quite a bit when you have people choose one over the other. so I guess the same thing could be said with Batman (1989), even though it's got a nearly a 25million ticket sale difference. but then again makes me wonder if today's movies in general (say last 10-15 years or so) have less ticket sales because there is more selection to choose from, like with technology people can access movies much easier on devices etc, which maybe ticket sales in general are lower in general(?) because of that. kinda like those TV shows being really popular in the old days (say 1970's etc) because there was far less competition it seemed back in those days so that raises the viewership of shows that would be fairly disposable based on today's standards of TV shows. ill stop babbling now
