Maybe go a different path and have Amy Adams play Joker.

Because of his performance in 'Nightcrawler'. I had actually picked Gyllenhaal over Ledger when they announced Ledger flr "The Dark Knight".

I can honestly see Jake Gyllenhaal playing the Joker.

I think it would be best to leave the Joker character alone for a while, but if there is a movie coming out my pick would be one of these:
*Christoph Waltz *Willem Dafoe *Jake Gyllenhaal *Leonardo DiCaprio
Out of these 4 I think Gyllenhaal might be able to pull of the best Joker performance.

Regarding the origin movie coming as well. I always thought Adrien Brody would be good for it.

Y'know... that's just crazy enough to work. Interesting.

Y'know... that's just crazy enough to work. Interesting. Some of the things that made me pick him: 1. In the episode where Raj is mentioned in “People” magazine, Sheldon isn’t too impressed about it and Leonard wants him to smile. The smile that Sheldon gives is kind of unsettling prompting Leonard to say “We’re congratulating Koothrapali, not killing Batman!” 2. In some of the early episodes when Sheldon wore a suit, what color was it? PURPLE! 3. He’s tall, thin, and pale. If they follow Joker’s origin from “The Killing Joke”, he’d be perfect.

Yeah, I see it. It could work.
