Right now it's large - should be medium.
1 - On, say the Music Board, people post a bunch of videos in one message. Creates lots of scrolling, more pages. Many don't even have anything to watch but an album cover.
2 - People quote posts with videos, and they come back multiple times in a thread because people either don't know they can cut them out or don't care or both.

I like this idea.
A pity the quote function doesn't remove videos automatically. Or at least change the size to small.

Actually, the default size is much smaller than 'large' and only a little bigger than 'medium':
SMALL:
MEDIUM:
DEFAULT:
LARGE:
I would prefer something between small and medium, but I'll add a script to automatically set the tag to 'medium' when videos are posted as 'default'. Maybe that will help some.

I suppose I could set it to 'small', but I fear that may just compel people to change it to something larger. I'll look into something that would set them to somewhere between small and medium, but there's not much I can do about those who edit the size manually. I'll also look into automatically removing videos from quotes.

I wouldn't want the current Default size to disappear. The large size is huge. Name the large "theater" or something and the current default large. Or just larger and largest. |

It took me almost damn near 10 minutes to create my own thread because of the huge size of the videos that were posted. I'm guessing that has a lot to do with having to access YouTube in order to create a thumbnail for the video, as well as posting the title of it and such. Now, it runs smooth.  |

So, when embedding a new video into a thread, what size should we select? Default? Or does it no longer matter? It doesn't matter as all videos will be resized regardless of what you select. I'm trying to figure out how to remove the drop-down for size selection so I won't have to keep answering questions of why it's ineffective. |
