Westbrook took 30 more shots than anyone on his team. The only time that has happened in the past decade - Kobe's final game.
OKC down 3, he jacks up a long 3 (his 9th of the game) and misses. Missed 4 shots in last 2 minutes.
After the game, "I make that shot 9 out of 10 times."
He's a career .309 shooter on 3s. When Westbrook shoots 9 or more 3s, they are 5-29 (.237).
OKC is on pace for a 44-38 season. When the Spurs win their next game, they will have gotten to 50 or more wins for the past 18 seasons.

Westbrook bashers are stupid, if it wasn't for him, OKC would not win 20 games, that is for sure. Who would you like to see take the shot at the end of the game for OKC, Westbrook is their only good shooter.

What do you think of what Mark Cuban said about Westbrook? Someone had asked him his opinion on potential MVPs. He named LeBron and Harden and (I think) Leonard. The interviewer asked where Westbrook is in the discussion. Cuban said he isn't.

Who would you like to see take the shot at the end of the game for OKC, Westbrook is their only good shooter. It's not about the shot at the end. Westbrook doesn't pace himself and he often loses it near the ends of games. And none of them are focusing on defense. He should care less about getting rebounds and driving end to end all game. Plus he drives players like Harden and Durant away. Since 2008-9, the team record when players score 40 or more points: James 26-6 Harden 29-7 Curry 20-5 Wade 17-6 Durant 33-13 Kobe 19-11 Anthony 16-12 Westbrook 14-16 And a lot of that time, he had better players around him.

I watched the game. He is the most incredible player in NBA. And, yes, he does play D. Obviously not as strong as Kawhi's D, but you ever see Harden's D? I haven't and neither has anybody else. If Westbrick doesn't win MVP then there should never again be an MVP award given out.

I agree, OKC wouldnt be jack without Westbrook...but...
Youd think he'd see this and go,"Maybe I should lay off taking the 3.
He isnt Curry, Harden, or Klay at the 3 point shot.

The interviewer asked where Westbrook is in the discussion. Cuban said he isn't. He is right. Westbrook isn't among the top 3 at least of late. He wasn't even selected as a starter in this year's all-star game. OKC's road record sucks (12-20). He could hardly make important plays in the closing minutes all through this season. He takes over 5 more shots than Harden while Harden still contributes more points per match (points+points from assists combined). According basketball-reference.com NBA MVP Award Tracker harden has 41.3% chance of getting MVP while Westbrook has 7.8%. Lebron and Leonard are above Westbrook in the MVP conversation.
