McDonald's cheeseburgers. For 3 bucks or less, it's pretty good.

Does Five Guys count as fast food? Don't know if KFC is considered fast food but one day we brought this home and it tasted so, so good. Ours came with this (below) instead of the roll as shown in the above picture.

For me, that would be DENNY'S - especially, when considering a full meal. On drives to/from Oregon, it's my go-to stop for breakfast, or late lunch, depending on my schedule.
There are a gazillion of them, on I-5, and 101. They're consistent in food quality, as well as ambiance.
I don't EVER want to know the calorie count, or the fat/sodium levels, in any of their meals. I'm sure that they're be considered to be "deadly," given that one gets, virtually, no exercise on long drives. However, I only do it once a year-or-two.

McDonald's cheeseburgers. I noticed as far back as the early 1990s that McDonald's cheeseburgers significantly elevated my mood. Not long after I made that discovery, I mentioned it to a friend of mine who had been taking Prozac. She seemed very surprised at my comment and told me that if she took her medicine and then about fifteen minutes later had a McDonald's cheeseburger, she would be "flying". Sometimes I wonder if their recipe isn't deliberately designed that way. In any case, that is what I call comfort food.
