Second favorite is 1975-1980.

There is not many TV shows I have seen of any real worth... 1.The Sopranos (1999-2007) - 10/10 -.Breaking Bad (2008-2013) (my cousin also considers Breaking Bad high tier quality. I don't think my cousin has seen The Sopranos but from what I can tell he's not into the whole gangster genre much but I think if he gave it a chance it might be better than he expected as it's more detailed then your typical gangster movie etc. in fact, the only gangster themed movie I like more than The Sopranos, or is no worse than that at the least, would be Road to Perdition (2002).) 3.Dexter (2006-2013) - 7.5-8/10 (my cousin thought this was solid but he said the ending damaged it from ranking higher on his own personal all time list. but for me a small portion of a show cannot noticeably degrade the overall show's quality. so this ranks higher for me than it does him. still, it's one of the better shows my cousin has seen. but anyways... I hope this show retains it's 7.5-8/10 status on a re-watch as that's been the problem of basically all other TV shows that have scored in this range on initial viewing tend to fall off some on a re-watch except The Sopranos/Breaking Bad so far which retain that top spec score(NOTE: only nine movies managed to get a 10/10 score from me out of the 2,150+ total movies I have seen. so as you can see I don't hand out high scores commonly as it's not that i restrict ratings just to restrict them, it's simply that Movies/TV shows are simply not entertaining to a high enough degree)) 4.Spactacus (2010-2013) - 7/10 (seen this twice and it lost some of it's spark on my 2nd viewing(i.e. 7.5-8/10 to a 7/10)) -.The Wire (2002-2008) (seen this twice and it lost some of it's spark on my 2nd viewing overall (i.e. 7.5-8/10 to a 7/10)) -.Black Sails (2014-2017) (this show generally gets better the further it moves forward) -.Boardwalk Empire (2010-2014)-.Death Note (2006-2007) (viewed this three times so far. it dropped in rating each viewing for me.) after those... there is nothing else really worth mentioning. NOTE: there might be a little more but I am reserving my rating til the show is over like 'Better Call Saul' but given how that show is right now it's a 7/10 at the most. so it could still potentially get on the lower end of the TV shows worth mentioning. but as of now there is only eight TV shows of any real worth for me. NOTE: I have seen all of those listed above at least twice besides Black Sails/Boardwalk Empire/Dexter. basically viewed Black Sails on Nov 13th 2017 through Dec 4th 2017 and Dexter on Sep 1st 2016 through Oct 3rd 2016. p.s. in fact, I am currently in the process of re-watching Breaking Bad in it's entirety since Jan 1st and I also plan on re-watching The Sopranos in it's entirety to before this year is finished as my most recent re-watch of The Sopranos in it's entirety was in 2013 so it's going on 5 years. but anyways, I am about to start watching Season 4 Episode 1 of Breaking Bad in a moment and based on what I have seen so far my 10/10 likely holds as it's one of those rare gems. SIDE NOTE: while I know there has to be more quality TV shows I have yet to discover I am still confident in saying I would be surprised if I found another TV show that could compete with The Sopranos/Breaking Bad, especially on re-watch value. not that I got to find a show THAT good to enjoy it and for it to be worth re-watching. but as a general thing with me... TV shows have to be a solid level of quality or they will likely fall below that standard I need in order to re-watch them. because for me I think when it comes to TV shows, from what I have noticed so far, is that they tend to be a 7/10 or higher (i.e. stand out level) or they end up being a 5/10 or less (i.e. forgettable/no worth re-watching etc) as while a 6/10 rating, which is my minimum score for re-watch level for me, tends to be more passable for movies since they only use a couple hours of your time but with a TV show, since it burns many hours of your time, you pretty much expect a higher level of quality from them in order to want to re-watch them basically. with that said... I suspect it's still possible I could find a 6/10 level TV show but I think that general 5/10 or less or 7/10 or higher scoring will likely hold true on a high percentage of TV shows I watch. but I just tend to be much more selective on what ill give a chance when it comes to TV shows vs movies mainly because of time spent and I want those hours and hours of watching a TV show to deliver a higher level of entertainment then just mildly entertaining. twothousandonemark Agreed. the quality generally is not there and while there are some true gems out there they tend to be quite limited. movies are the safer bet for sure over the long run and not only that they use up much less of your time as, for the most part, if I am going to re-watch a TV show it's going to have to stand out. basically there is 193 movies I score a 7 or higher where as with TV shows, it's less than 10. so basically, while I think there are some other solid TV shows I have yet to see, I doubt there are anywhere near 193 TV shows that I would score a 7 or higher. hence, Movies are easily the safer choice for me long term. basically there is really only 2-3 TV shows I have seen that hold up well against my more cream-of-the-crop level movies even though there is another five beyond that, that are still enough to say they hold up against some of my lower tier 7/10 range movies mostly because of the time spent on them and I don't enjoy them to a high enough level makes them overall a bit lower than my typical 7/10 range movie. sure, I realize I have not seen too many TV shows but I feel even if i bumped up the volume of them beyond what I have currently seen a fair amount (say something like 20 more TV shows) I don't expect there to be that many more TV shows that I would score a 7/10 or higher. p.s. when it comes to TV in general I usually watch mostly the disposable entertainment kind of stuff. but when it comes to more legit movie quality level TV I tend to be more selective as when I watch those I am ultimately trying to find ones that ill rewatch once in a while as time passes.

In total I have seen at least 50 TV shows, though some I lost interest after a couple seasons.

moviemouthout of those 50 TV shows or so... about how many you think you did not finish? ; just trying to get a feel for what's of real worth for you vs what's not. as for how many TV shows I have seen and basically finished... without checking I would guess no more than 15 or so. p.s. but one show I suspect ill like... Narcos (2015-) ; but I may just wait til it's finished before seeing it (as it's a ongoing show currently). but then again I might jump into it in the not too distant future.
