Hi guys and girls of the CFB. There some wonderful, compassionate, intelligent, mature, wise, kind, gentle and humanistic posters on this board - such as spiderwort, MikeTheMechanic, Mikef6, marshamae, ZoloytoyRetriever, manfromplanetx, friendofmillhouse, Richard Kiimble (who I suspect called himself hobnob on the IMDB), mattgarth, feologild, Doghouse6, TheOriginalPinky, Boo Radly and OrsonSwelles - all of whom I remember from the CFB. And I am sure there are many others as well. So if you guys could find it in your hearts to click on the following link - which will take you to a poll on the Film General board, and vote in this poll I would be very grateful. Oh dear, I was hoping to never come across mslovak's warped views again. It is sad OldAussie. I have always seen myself as a compassionate humanist, but he called me a "bully" earlier today. However, read through my posts on that thread and check out the one where I realize that he is saying he knows "God" exists, because "God" and his "rosary prayers" saved him from an addiction to internet porn (and if you enjoy it give it a like). He calls this "proof" of the big G's existence. |

I voted yes, because gay characters have families too. Thank you for your vote and your wonderful, heartfelt post on that thread mike. If you didn't change at least one person on Film General's mind about the issue, there is no hope left. We can't dismantle all the prejudice, ignorance and bigotry in Trump's America and parts of the rest of the world, but we must never back down and we can try and change peoples' mindset one heart at a time. |
