Road to Perdition (2002) is gold as it's score is partially what makes that movie great. another score from that same decade that stands out and helps the movie is Lord of War (2005) , enjoy p.s. both movies are within my Top 9 movies straight up as they are two out of nine movies I gave a 10/10.

The score for Lord of War doesn't leave much of an impression on me, but I do like the movie. Nicolas Cage is one of my favorite actors. I like the use of songs in the movie more than the score, especially "For What It's Worth" by Buffalo Springfield in one of the greatest opening credits scenes of all time. 7.5/10 is my rating for the movie btw.

moviemouthLord of War (2005) is easily his #1 movie if you ask me as nothing else is even close to it at this point in time as my favorite Nicolas Cage movies are... 1.Lord of War (2005) - 10/10 (I also think the director of his has a solid reputation with me as out of the six movies he's directed, 4 out of 6 of them score a 7/10 or higher for me(i.e. Gattaca/S1m0ne(underrated)/Lord of War/Good Kill). It used to be 5 out of 6 but one fell off (i.e. In Time (2011)) below the 7/10 or higher standard.) 2.Drive Angry (2011) - 7/10 (underrated with it's 5.4/10 average rating on IMDb) 3.Face/Off (1997) - 6.5-7/10 a bit outside of being considered a favorite... 4.Leaving Las Vegas (1995) - 6-6.5/10 -.The Family Man (2000) with that said... there used to be a fair amount more of his movies that stood out from the pack but they have since taken a hit for me (basically... Con Air/Gone in Sixty Seconds/Next/Kick-Ass/Knowing/National Treasure/Matchstick Men/The Rock and a bit more(even The Family Man stood out for me at one point but dropped off not that long ago but it's still solid enough for me)). but with that said, I think Nicolas Cage has a solid screen presence and when given the right movie he can shine. p.s. there is still other Nicolas Cage movies I like but only those 3-5 movies are worth mentioning for me at this point in time. It seems people really like the intro scene in Lord of War from what I have noticed with it following the manufacturing process of the bullet til it's use. with that said, when I think of the 2000's movies... Road to Perdition/Lord of War are definitely my Top 2 movies when I think of scores that really add to the movie and it helps the movies themselves are top spec for me to. p.s. seems that group was a one-hit-wonder with that 'For What It's Worth' song from what I have heard.

moviemouthI am a little surprised you like 'World Trade Center' that much to consider it a 'favorite' (I know you said 'Top 10' but if it's worth listing for you then ill just assume it's a 'favorite' for you) as it seems pretty generic if you ask me as even for movies of that type (tied to Sep 11th 2001) it's not hard to find better. but then again... maybe it's just me, as I noticed those kinds of movies tend to be generally forgettable for me. but the rest of your list probably ain't too much different from a typical Nicolas Cage fan I suspect as I am sure we all vary a bit but I would expect to see at least some of those on most of Nicolas Cage favorite movies lists from random Nicolas Cage fans. hell, speaking of Nicolas Cage... if you want you should make poll that lists all of Nicolas Cage movies and then limit it to say 5 movies (ten movies MAX). then after that people can list their favorites in a reply to the topic as that's what I do when random polls like that come up with say a maximum of 5 things to vote for and say there is seven movies from a random person I think are worth listing then ill just vote for my Top 5 and then list, in a reply, on what i think stands out. but sometimes if the movies are roughly tied for me (say it's a 5 vote selection poll and say my 5th-6th movies are tied where it's 'too-close-to-call' then ill generally give the vote to the one least voted on) and one movie is more popular in the topic, then ill simply vote for the one that needs more votes.

World Trade Center is an earnest and emotionally powerful movie and I like movies about survival against the odds. The only other movie about 9/11 that is worth mentioning is United 93 and that is a great movie imo. No I don't consider it a favorite but I do like it. There is a difference between a movie being good and it being one of my favorites. It is one of my favorite Nicolas Cage movies but that isn't the same as being one of my favorite movies in general. I think any good movie is worth listing. I rate another 5 Nicolas Cage movies 7/10. The Weather Man is basically a tie with Lord of War.

What is everyone's favorite movie score of all time? I will listen to it and add it to the list. A most excellent list of movie scores here movieman thanks so much for your subject post too . I'm still not quite sure which is my all time favorite since I come across so many wonderful music scores over the years . However this one has been wonderfully stuck in my head for quite some time now . The Cooler by Mark Isham

I replaced the music from the Midnight Express soundtrack with the music that is actually used in the movie.

moviemouthI wish I thought the same, but for me it's a pretty average/forgettable movie overall. but I guess if you like those kinds of movies quite a bit then maybe it works well for you. but yeah, it seems United 93 is considered the #1 of the 9/11 movies of which I have not seen as a while ago I thought I seen that on TV but it was actually this one that I have seen... Flight 93 (2006) (TV Movie)who knows, I may eventually get around to seeing United 93. I agree with you here because I can mildly like a movie and re-watch it once in a while but those are not good enough to be considered a favorite. basically movies I score in the 6/10 range are these kinds of movies for me. I would be more interested whether something is amongst your favorites in general than just being a basic 'good movie'. that separates the gems from everything else pretty much. If 'good' means a mild Thumbs Up level then I also could list more Nicolas Cage movies than I did. but I prefer to keep things more along the lines of My Favorite Movies in general to keep the quality up to a higher standard that way.

I still have to listen to all your scores, but:
Tears in Rain - Blade Runner - This is just Amazing!
Inception: I don´t like it very much, I don´t know why, just... I don´t feel it. My favorite Hans Zimmer is Batman Begins, I´ll tell you later which is my favorite score, but whenever I want to listen to some good music, I put the Batman Begins End Credits... 9 minutes with the best of the best.
ET (John Williams) Flying bikes (How on earth you didn´t include this??!!)
This one too.

Batman Begins (Hans Zimmer and James Newton Howard)
I have a problem, I can´t choose just 1, so:
Batman Begins - Eptesicus (Why do we fall? / The training is nothing, Will is everything!)
Batman Begins - Molossus (Stay calm, you´ve been poisoned / Racheeeeeel!)
Batman Begins - Antrozous (You could die, at least tell my your name!)
