Why did you block a user for tagging you? All you have done, is prevented YOURSELF from seeing THEIR threads & posts. They call still see yours. BTW, In case you didn't know, all anyone has to do, is click on your name on any post you make... and they can go view your profile. Members on IMDb could do this too... No that's not true. Now please remove the tag you placed on my comment. You know that I don't like it. I sent you a private message asking you to. You haven't responded. I didn't tag you in this thread. I quoted you in this thread. Everybody quotes other members on this website. If you don't like being quoted... Leave! I did tag you in another thread though. I untagged you in that thread. |

I feel like I am the one who instigated this thread. Sometimes I am unable to quote on here as I receive an error message when doing so. As a next best thing I tag so my post has some continuity to it and the poster I would have quoted still gets a notification. I didn't see it as a big deal and don't know why it is a faux pas. Anyway, the poster I tagged PM'd and asked if I could remove the tag which I did. On a related note, given the amount of aggression on this site little things like this will erupt into bigger things as people take offence and assume the worst about everything and everyone. Admin you really need to start cleaning this cesspool of a site up for this reason as well as if you want the forum to last. |

I don't know why people are having a tantrum over tagging either. All tagging does, is to let another person know, that you are communicating with them, without quoting them. That is all.

Those posts were deleted because one was an image of a man having sex with a pig, another was an image of a man having sex with a donkey, and the other was an image of a naked young girl siting on a naked man's lap. It had nothing to do with them being images of Mohammad. Had it been Jesus (or anyone else), they would have been deleted as well. |

I don't think you all understand what a simple request is. I asked to not be tagged. I asked the person that tagged me to remove it brcause I don't want to be tagged. Now either they can respect my wishes or disrespect them. Which will it be? Also, the person that I blocked for tagging me can still communicate with me through private messaging which I feel is a counteracts to purpose of blocking all other types of communication or interactions with whomever you're blocking. Regardless, he responded saying that he would remove the tag. It was just that simple. I really don't understand what is the big deal about removing a tag when the person asks you to? |

You can tell all sorts of people that you don't want to be tagged, but unless you edit your preferences so that you are not notified when someone tags you, there will always be someone who doesn't know you don't like to be tagged... and they will tag you anyway, and you will still be notified. And then each time that happens, you will have to ask them to remove a tag. You will spend more energy asking people to untag you, then if you just turn off your notification. Your Choice. But if you don't want to know that people are talking to you, make sure you don't get notifications for when people quote you too. |

I already know how to go into the notification settings and remove that notification. My original question in the thread that I created wasn't about how to turn off the notification letting me know that I have been tagged. My question was basically asking if anyone knew what it meant to be tagged. I figured out the answer on my own. To make a long story short, I basically do not want to be tagged. I already know that there is nothing Admin or mod can do to stop someone from tagging. That's why I asked the person directly to remove it. And I don't have 2,733 to go either. |
