Strange, I remember the song “Ode to my Family” from when it was released, but I didn’t think much of it at the time; my then-husband got a recording, and I was annoyed at his frequent complaints about money when he constantly bought anything new in media to feel he was keeping up. Then a few days ago cupcakes posted the video for the song, and I was struck by its poignancy – a couple days later I heard the lead singer had died.  |
