...and a pretty solid cast including James McAvoy, John Goodman, Toby Jones, Eddie Marsan, and Sofia Boutella. The trailer's coming soon apparently.

The trailer's here and it looks pretty awesome: www.youtube.com/watch?v=B2Tz6U14N1QDavid Leitch directed the film (he from John Wick and next year's Deadpool 2), and it looks like a lot of - very R-rated - action fun. Amazing cast! I'm totally on board for this.

Looks good. And what's fascinating is the look, it seems like both John Wick directors have the same visual style.

Watched the trailer. Looks awesome. Definitely will be watching this. There is just one thing that I have to nitpick though: Charlize Theron doesn't seem to do fight scenes that well. You can see how slow and weak-looking her movements are compared to the other guys she's fighting. The contrast in their speeds kind of ruin the fights. To be fair though, I guess it's very hard to find female actors who can match the fighting intensity of professional stuntmen.

I think if this does well (and leaves itself open to a part2) they'll train her as a stuntman as they did for Keanu....if she wants to. Also since it's very much one shots it will show flaws a tad more than quick cuts and shaky cam. But I think despite her not being an action actor she looks all in.

I remember watching Theron in Aeon Flux and didn't find her moving this slow. But you're probably right, it might be the long action shots in this movie, which I commend. In any case, Theron definitely has a fierce and intense look to her which makes her look like she can kick ass. Hope this ends up being a good movie because sequels would be something I'll look forward to.

I'm leaning towards the one take, in BvS.....yes.....I'm pulling it in here, the Knightmare sequence you can tell the choreography is all there and well planned, but because it's a one take a person stepping a second too soon becomes noticeable.

I really want this to be great, action women are so much more interesting to me now than men.

Nope, not my thing. Queen doesn't automatically make your movie awesome, just look at Suicide Squad. Tried to be awesome turned out to be complete cornball fodder.
Flash Gordon is the beholder of proper use of Queen.

What is this? It already has a 9.7 on IMDB based off seventeen ratings?

What is this? It already has a 9.7 on IMDB based off seventeen ratings? I think the same happened with Batman V Superman. I get that movies have preview screenings but IMDb shouldn't be allowing ratings until it officially opens. This is why so many people criticise the voting system even though it's a fairly reliable source for me and I agree with most of the scores.

Yeah but Keanu has had previous training in movies like Matrix and Man of Tai Chi. So Keanu has gotten quite a lot of martial arts training.

Yeah but Keanu has had previous training in movies like Matrix and Man of Tai Chi. So Keanu has gotten quite a lot of martial arts training. that is very true, Charlize.....less so, and Keanu has "bit" of an interest in martial arts. but again as they stated during the John Wick 2 promotions they trained Keanu as a full on stuntman for the sequel. I think if they make an Atomic Blonde sequel they'll train Charlize harder than before, now she may not be where Keanu is or get there, but there should be a discernable improvement. and again, single take action scenes show flaws more than multiple cuts, if this scene was cut like a standard (not hyper cut shaky cam) action scene, we wouldn't be having this discussion.
