So true, I also don't like people commenting on your product reviews with their stupidity and ignorance. I think you should have the option to disable the comment section on reviews because some people just like to borderline harass other people. Ugh! And second, it would be nice if Amazon accepts PayPal payments. I don't mind the lack of paypal. because I'd still have to enter the same debit card info onto pay pal, so it would just be an extra step and a waste of time for me As for disabling comments on reviews, that would be nice. I don't even bother to check review comments on mine. I already know I'm not that good at reviews. But even I know to look at the disclaimers saying it's a region 2 import. I think some of the people who get harassed on a review kind of deserve it when they are doing one of the 3 idiotic things I mentioned above. "The DVD didn't play" I'm over here thinking to myself like "UH... paay f*cking attention! It said it was region 2 on the main page. IT'S NOT SUPPOSED TO PLAY. STOP POLLUTING MY PLANET WITH YOUR STUPIDITY!!!!!!!" LOL

STOP POLLUTING MY PLANET WITH YOUR STUPIDITY!!!!!!!" LOL Since I got some rude ones in the past, I stopped checking mines too and disabled the notification feature. When it comes to DVDs, books, and music, I agree that it is very annoying about people leaving reviews about certain features that don't work, and I'm like they should take their complaints to the seller. It seems like many people are confusing "write product review" with "leave seller feedback" why that happens a lot. It's also annoying when you're debating whether you should get a particular artist's album, but you see unhelpful reviews about people bashing the artist rather than critiquing the actual album itself.

Packaging ( LP / CD / DVD / Blu-Ray ) 3.) Price ( Cost vs Other Stores ) 4.) Seller ( Who is Selling ) 5.) Shipping (USPS / UPS / FedEx) And more... I agree... It would be helpful, if people knew what the difference among these are, and made the appropriate comments in the correct places.

Ugh. This is why i hate amazon review so much Too many people don't actually contribute an actual review Its either bash the product, bash the seller, bash the dvd region, etc. Sofa king annoying

also, artifically sweeetened beverages
SO many stupid complaints from dumb asses who complain that labeling it "naturally flavored" is false advertising with an artifical sweetener.
HELLO! ever Had Kool-aid? it's flavor without sweetener.
they can still make flavor naturally without any sweetner to it.
"naturally flavored" and "Naturally sweetened" are not the same thing.
GAH! so much stupid

reviews like this piss me off lol www.amazon.com/gp/review/R14UWETIHDHOE3?ref_=glimp_1rv_clit's a complaint about the cases being broken and the packaging. I bought the same set. Some of my cases were broken too BUT my ocd was bothered by the fact the 8 seasons of monk came in clear dvd cases when The opposite side of the artwork had nothing on it. so I wanted to replace them anyways

Those buying CDs/DVDs from Amazon should check the stores of some of their sellers like ImportCDs and DeepDiscount as they're often several dollars cheaper buying direct from them rather than via Amazon.

I'd rather limit the sites that have my $ information. sometimes paying a bit extra is worth it when you get reliability and safety in exchange.

They're often significantly cheaper on larger box sets and stuff. EDIT: I might also add that Amazon might not be any more "secure," especially given that they're much more high-profile and more likely to be a target of hacking and whatnot.

They're often significantly cheaper on larger box sets and stuff. I've been buying from Amazon Marketplace sellers, including ImportCDs, for many years. Amazon doesn't share your credit card details with them. In fact, Amazon says: The only time I ever had any trouble was when I ordered directly from CD INZANE, instead of going through Amazon. CD INZANE alone had a CD I wanted, and I felt comfortable buying from them because I had previously bought from them as an Amazon Marketplace seller. Soon afterward I got a call that fraudulent charges were appearing on my card. Thankfully the bank caught it early and I wasn't liable for any of those charges. They simply cancelled my old card and issued me a new one with a different number. The funny thing is that the CD INZANE transaction was otherwise legit. They promptly sent me the CD I ordered and charged me the correct price for it. I don't know if their website was hacked, if they had a dishonest employee, or what. Anyway, in my experience, buying through a Marketplace seller is as safe as buying direct from Amazon, provided you use Amazon's website and their checkout process.

Amazon are the ones who bill your card and pay the seller (after taking a cut for themselves). An Amazon Marketplace seller doesn't see your credit card information.

I was under the impression that Amazons were women, and yet there's a man at the helm.

Yes. I buy movies from those two sellers quite often, and have had nothing but good service from them. And as noted in another post, the transactions are through Amazon's marketplace. They are not direct orders. My billing statements always shows an Amazon transaction.

DeepDiscount.com
The reason to buy from the sellers' websites is that they have to mark up their prices to sell on Amazon because Amazon charges 15% fees to sellers for all CD/DVD/book transactions (I know because I also sell on Amazon).

Sorry, I misinterpreted you. As I noted in another post in this thread, the one time I tried to buy direct from a marketplace seller's site, fraudulent charges immediately started appearing my credit card. I still don't know where the failure point was. But having been burned once, I'm not willing to risk it again.

I can vouch for the above though as I've been ordering via their sites for years without a problem.
