I liked Taco Bell's Ghost Pepper Griller.
But a local restaurant had a great lunch special of rare red tuna with wasabi and 2 sides for about $6. Now I think you can get it for $17 or so.

Catman don't really care.
But Catwoman is sad over the loss of the German Chocolate Blizzard at Dairy Queen.

Baskin Robbins ... which, itself, is dwindling in the number of stores in Northern California ... used to sell Mandarin Chocolate Sherbet. The chocolate was very dark, and bittersweet, and it had an underlying flavor of orange/orange zest. Most sherbets are too tart, for me, but this was delicious! There was a BR store just a couple of blocks from me, and I was a very good customer.

...local restaurants in my area used to offer a dish called the "frankcheesie" which was a large grilled hot dog covered in crisp bacon and melted cheese...alas, no more....and I don't know why...! While maybe not the healthiest meal, once in a while it hit the spot...

I don't know if this is nationwide, but the Denny's restaurants in my local area stopping serving the Patty Melt - which for me anyway was about my only reason to stop at Denny's.

I don't know if this is nationwide, but the Denny's restaurants in my local area stopping serving the Patty Melt - which for me anyway was about my only reason to stop at Denny's. I would almost always get this when we went to Olive Garden to eat. A dish called Sausage and Pepper Rustica. One day we went back and sadly it was off their menu. Looked like this and they would grind as much cheese on it as you would like.

The croissant donuts at Dunkin Donuts. They had them for a while--about 18 months, although they kept changing the flavor--to flavors I was increasingly less interested in, though I still liked them, but then they ditched them completely. I get frustrated in general that their seasonal donuts are typically my favorites . . . so the best ones are only there for a few weeks usually, and then you have to wait awhile for the next seasonals.
Of course, it's better for my waistline that they don't always have donuts I love.

Arby's... Hot Ham & Swiss Sub
You can make your own at home, but for some reason, it just isn't the same...
Oddly, they still have all the ingredients to make it.
Hardee's... Super Star with Cheese
Before they revamped their menu around the year 2000 to have Angus Burgers. I wonder where their meat came from before.
Pizza Hut... Priazzo's
Deep Dish PIES in the Mid-1980s.
Mainly discontinued, because it took too long to cook.
Dairy Queen... Chocolate Covered Cherry Blizzard.
They still have HAD the ingredients to make it, and some older stores will still make them for you... But it is no longer on the menu.
Newer stores will just make the "Chocolate Cherry Love Blizzard" instead. The chocolate is a bit chunkier.
EDIT: Correction.... It seems that DQ no longer even makes the "Chocolate Cherry Love Blizzard"... I guess I am out of luck getting anything with Cherries in it from them now.
Good thing the grocery store has Chocolate & Cherry ice cream.
Never have understood why a restaurant, that still has the ingredients to make a product, will remove it from their menu.
Why is it always all the good stuff that is discontinued?

The Super Bar at Wendy's. I haven't seen it since the 20th century. It was a huge international buffet. I usually went for the Mexican stuff.

Another one from Olive Garden. It was outstanding but they ended up taking it off their menu. Shrimp and Asparagus Limon.(its been awhile since we been there so it could be back on their menu) That looks mighty tasty. I could go for a plate - er, bowl - of that right about now. It sure was. Vegetables done just right, scrimp nice and tender and all in a very tasty sauce. And the first one I pictured the Sausage and Pepper Rustica is so, so tasty also. Their sausage is nice and spicy just the way I like it. I was telling someone about this last night that goes to Olive Garden a lot. She said if it was once on their menu all you have to do is tell them the name of the dish and they will still make it for you. She said whenever they update their menu's they keep the old ones and just charge you the price that was listed on the old menu. (she did not know if all Olive Gardens did that) Now that I know that it back to Olive Garden ASAP!

The gourmet burger at Longhorn. It was best tasting burger in the city, and they got rid of it.
