I'll take it.
Yeah, both Longoria and McCutchen are on the downside of their careers. But if the pitchers can come back from off years, the Giants can do it. They have said we are going for it now, not building for the future. I think they can get one more title in before the future building starts. I'd still like to see them get a power hitter but I'm liking the team a lot more for the now, not for the future. Definitely did NOT want Billy Hamilton, that would have been a huge mistake, the last hting the Giants need is another .240 hitter.

Donโt know the details but it sounded like the Pirates lost on the deal getting pretty much nothing in return and actually paying SF to take him. I donโt know how thatโs possible.

I was really surprised that's how little it took, generally in these trades the Giants give up big time future, but not in this case. Very happy about this one (as a Giants fan)
