Rate the last Tv episode you just watched! Taking inspiration from the 'Rate the last movie you just saw' thread in the Rate Movies forum.
For me it's Fargo Season 3 Episode 1- 8/10. A great start to what I hope is a great third season. For the record the first episode of season 1 is a 10/10 and the first episode of the second season is a 9/10.

The Outer Limits Season 1 - Episode 15: The Voyage Home - 6/10
There is barely a dull episode on this show, and I enjoyed this one too. It is quite derivative and the effects are awfully dated (the aliens look laughable) but somehow still gripping.

Altered Carbon S1E1
Unfocused with some sloppy writing and awkward dialogue but fantastic production and visuals along with a great premise, a interesting world, as well as some badass action sequences. 6/10

Young Sheldon S1 Ep. 13 "A Sneeze, Detention, and Sissy Spacek" 7/10
This show has turned out to be charming and heartwarming. I am NOT a regular viewer of "The Big Bang Theory", though I am very familiar with the Sheldon character. Iain Armitage is wonderful as young Sheldon and is surrounded by an amusing collection of characters.

The first episode of 'The End of the Fucking World'.
It was pretty good. Nothing spectacular but it's quirky, funny and clever. 7/10. Each episode is like 20 minutes so I'll probably just binge the rest of the season.

Frasier S4 ep. 1 - The Two Mrs. Cranes (watched in honour of John Mahoney, who died this week - he played Martin Crane, Frasier and Niles' father for the entire run of the show). This is the episode where Daphne's former fiancé from England shows up in Seattle with the hope of winning her back, and in order to avoid breaking his heart again she pretends to be married to Niles.
10/10. One of my favourite episodes of one of my favourite sitcoms. I don't know how many times I have seen this episode, and I remembered it pretty well, but I still had many good laughs watching it again.

Well, we just got the first episode on the series Hard Sun here last night. I only had a few minor quibbles with it, otherwise I really enjoyed it. **spoilers below** Agyness Deyn was the definite standout in the episode. I loved her fight with a young guy who turned out to be her son (one of the few times I agreed with Charlie Hicks in the episode was when he was asking what would cause her son to do what he did to her in that fight). It was such a great way to introduce Elaine Renko’s character. She really took a beating (complete with getting slashed repeatedly, stabbed in the gut and nearly being caught in an explosion). I appreciated how they presented her character as intelligent, taking initiative and working things out. I also enjoyed the fact that she had a sense of humour – as evidenced by the note she left Charlie. The best part of the episode, though, was the fight between Elaine and Charlie at the end. I know there are those who have ‘issues’ with female characters fighting male characters, but I thought they handled this fight pretty well. They didn’t have her doing ‘fancy flips’ or any of that rubbish. It was a scrappy, dirty, and she even resorted to using knuckledusters. While I do understand Charlie wanting to protect his family, I was firmly on Elaine’s side throughout the fight. The episode left me wanting to immediately see more. I give the episode an 8/10.

The last episode of TV I watched was the first episode of the fourth/final season of Bron/Broen (aka The Bridge). **spoilers below** I started watching this show out of order. I managed to catch the second last episode of Season 1 on TV and by the end of the episode I was hooked. I think I then bought Season 1 (which was already out on DVD) and caught up on all the episodes I’d missed before the Season 1 final was shown on TV. Ever since then I’ve watched each season on TV. I quite enjoy the show, but Sofia Helin as Saga Norén is the main reason I watch. She just plays this interesting, complicated, sometimes amusing and occasionally frustrating character to perfection. She’s definitely one of my top TV cop characters ever. So it’s perhaps because of this^ that I didn’t enjoy the Season 4 premiere quite as much as I would’ve liked to, as Saga was not getting to do any cop business due to being in prison. I definitely don’t like Henrik’s new male partner (in fact, I don’t like any of the other characters – and it took me a while to warm up to Henrik last season, as Martin had been partnered with Saga for the two prior seasons). I really felt for poor Saga and her situation and what she was dealing with/going through. It was no fun seeing her like this. I did think the person who tried to befriend her was coming on a little strong, but towards the end of the episode I started to feel slightly sorry for her (though I did find it a little suspicious how she said she’d “miss” Saga when she left, since Saga hadn’t really been overly friendly towards her) …of course, then she went and stabbed Saga in the back of the neck - which kind of killed any sympathy I had for her. And speaking of ‘killed’...I was seriously concerned for Saga. Of course, after checking the IMDB summaries of episodes for the season and seeing that she is in fact alive next episode, it seems rather silly to have worried that the show decided to kill of its female lead in the first episode of the season. However, given that Season 1 ended in an unexpected way, as did Season 2...I wouldn’t have put it past the show to do something totally unexpected like offing its star at the beginning of the final season. Anyway, I’m just relieved that Saga still lives – whether she stays that way by the end of the season remains to be seen. I give the episode 7/10 – I liked seeing Saga again, and I don’t mind Henrik, but when they weren’t onscreen, I wasn’t overly interested. Hopefully things will pick up in the next few episodes.

The Crown - 1:1
It's pretty close to a perfect setup episode so between 9-10.
I'm not sure if it's a good sign for the show since the episode is sublime primarily for King George which I can only assume will not be around much after a few episodes. Not sure I like Elizabeth herself yet.

Star Trek the Next Generation Déjà Q. I've been trying to give TNG another shot. I like this episode because of the performance of Q, who brings a lot to that role. I hate the interior of the Enterprise. And those uniforms. And this show just reeks of political correctness. But it's a good episode.

I'm not sure if it's a good sign for the show since the episode is sublime primarily for King George which I can only assume will not be around much after a few episodes. Not sure I like Elizabeth herself yet. I’ve been rewatching Season 1 of The Crown on Blu-ray (after watching it for the first time around Christmas) and there were two things I noted about episode 2, 'Hyde Park Corner', upon rewatch... **somewhat spoilery below for anyone who hasn't watched the first two episodes** Firstly, Jared Harris did an excellent job of making the audience come to care about his King George VI in the space of only two episodes. I’ve seen him in quite a few things, and remember that when he first appeared on Mad Men, I wasn’t that fussed on him/his character. However, by the end of his run he’d become much more likeable – so much so that his departure had a real impact and I came to miss him on the show. It was somewhat similar here, except I never *disliked* him – I just grew to care about him and his relationship with his daughters very quickly. The scenes between him and Vanessa Kirby as Margaret were well done I thought (especially the one of her playing piano as the both of they were singing). I also liked what little we saw between him and Elizabeth. I only wish we’d gotten to see more (though I know he appears via flashbacks in later episodes). Secondly, the way the show handled his passing was really well-done, I thought. It certainly carried the ‘weight’ one would expect such a thing to have. Particularly effective, though, was how Margaret and Elizabeth find out about it. No one bothers to inform Margaret, she just figures out what’s happened due to the way everyone’s acting. I thought Vanessa Kirby did really well in that scene. As did Claire Foy (who I don’t think some people give enough credit to). The show made an interesting choice to not actually show Philip telling her. Again, we see the King’s daughter figuring it out for herself via others’ expressions and the way their acting. Claire Foy’s face as it dawned on her what had happened was really great, I thought. It was subtle, but well-portrayed. Having most of her reaction to the news played from a distance and showing her and Philip talking, but us not hearing any of it was unexpected, but still effective. There’s many other things about the first two episodes worth talking about, but these^ were the parts that stood out the most to me when rewatching. The show’s so good, it’s worth rewatching (and not long after I watched it for the first time too).
