I watched it. I thought it was pretty good actually. Of course you can only tell so much form a pilot episode.

That's good.
How were the ratings?
I love the Berlantiverse, but I have little interest in this one and I'm not sure why. I'm thinking a touch of superhero fatigue. I'm taping it, but I won't be rushing to clear it out of the DVR.
My big fear is that it won't do well and people will blame it on being a primarily black cast.

It got 0.8 rating in the key demo (18-49). That's actually quite good for the CW. It is even with the Flash episode that aired right before.

This show is cheesy as heck. I enjoyed it and will watch a few more, but Jesus the writers have an 8th grade understanding of current social issues. I hope the show doesn't turned into some kind of Liberal suck fest. EVERY cop is white and racist and deserves to be hurt on the show so far. It is kind of hilarious. Also, the acting was TERRIBLE for the most part. Sometimes I think critics have issues. This show currently has a 100% on RT! Seriously? I know that this just means 100% of the critics at least rated it positive, which I would too, but the score just seems off still.

Unfortunately, most of the people in Hollywood have an 8th grade (or less) understanding of current social issues.

They could have left it at the gang taking over the city, but they had to add the overly racist, cartoon cops to it. They could have just made the police a little incompetent or something. They have it that the cops go after regular African Americans, but they leave the gang alone? There best be an "in the gang's pocket" crooked police angle to it. But even that makes no sense because the cops wouldn't need to be racist.

I liked it, felt like a breath of fresh air for The CW as all their other superhero shows have been "meh" this season.

No. I haven't watched it yet 'cause it hasn't aired here in Australia but I am looking forward to seeing it and I have heard a lot of good things about it.I still can't believe Cress Williams out of 'Hart of Dixie' is playing a superhero.

I am not denying the very real problem we have with police brutality today, but this show made every cop out to be a cartoon villain. It was hilarious.

Yes, it was very ham-fisted but of course most of the people who get paid to be "writers" these days, especially on CW superhero shows, are total hacks anyway. I'm still watching the show of course because I like superhero stories and I just try to remember that it's just a live action version of a cartoon.

I watched it. I thought it was pretty good actually. Of course you can only tell so much form a pilot episode. Well, it did introduce the main players in the series and set the tone for year one.

I think they should have spaced the tone out a bit. It was really heavy handed. Whoever wrote the script was watching the news and angry.

Who watched the second episode last night? Things are moving very fast, that could be good or bad depending on what they do with it. I have to say that the creative people working on this show must have watched Luke Cage on Netflix because there seems to be a lot of influence. I'm not complaining, just an observation.
Anyway 2 episodes in and I'm still hooked so we'll see where it goes from here.

I am still pumped about this show and enjoyed the pilot, I just hope they chill on the heavy handed cop crap.
