You still got most of that wrong. I have it on blu-ray so STOP paraphrasing!!!! ah, I think you got the popular Avenger AoU Dildo spoof. I now understand your enjoyment and what you mean by "deep" - but note that this version does not include the loathsome sexist language discussed. “In the Red Room, where I was trained, where I was raised, they have a graduation ceremony. They sterilize you. It's efficient. One less thing to worry about. The one thing that might matter more than a mission. Makes everything easier, even killing. You still think you're the only monster on the team?”.

He's desperate for a "MARTHA!"

Absolute sexist & mysogynist drivel: Now we finally know guys: Sterilizing a woman makes her forget about getting babies (the thing more important than work), and thus a monster...at least as a man you can still play hide the zucchini with her (savely)..!
Who wrote that sexist dreck, intellectually sterilized altright monkeys on a typewriter?

Yeah, she feels bad about being turned into a killer as a kid. Naturally someone would see them-self as a monster for that. Well, except in DC. There they kill and never feel bad or have any self-awareness.

The dialogue and context was not about her being a trained killer - that was known since ever as her background - but the big reveal was that she was sterilized and felt like a monster. It was meant to give her nuance and depth as a character but only backfired as being stupid and insulting to women.
Your DC deflection does not work and is untrue, the DCEU is known for its self-doubting/loathing, edgy heros.

I think the "online shitstorm" happened because Whedon overestimated the intelligence of your kind.

I think the "online shitstorm" happened because Whedon overestimated the intelligence of your kind. When the argument is lost, insults become the tool of the loser (Sokrates). Your surrender is accepted.

I think we can agree that given the choice and possibility of time travel, Whedon would have reworded the whole monologue from Widow.

Can we just agree the people nowadays are way too sensitive about things and will try to interpret stuff in the worst possible way?

Josh Whedon also wrote that infamously exploitative Wonder Woman treatment that was never used, didn't he. This is one of the many reason why the real Wonder Woman is so acclaimed.

There's not one line in Wonder Woman that's even half as good as any of the dialogue from Natasha or Bruce. That's just my opinion though.

Funny, seeing how that's all the flashback kept showing us. You just cling to the sterilization line for some reason.

Wow, that is some seriously atrocious dialogue; Worse than WW's "Love will save the world"? If a lot of people loved each other, the world would be a better place to live - Wonder Woman (2017) In all seriousness though, I did enjoy Wonder Woman.

The twitter outrage today from younger millenials watching Friends for the 1st time is laughable. Theyre finding the show homopohobic, sexist, racist, transphobic. Shocking.

Well, by today's standard it kind of is... Same thing happened with "The Birdcage" and I was really sad because it is one of my favorite movies... But the entire premise hinges on you siding with the kids, even just a little. Watching it recently, they just come off as pretentious, self important cowards who torture one family just to barely appease another.

Thats true but you cant apply social expectations and behaviour in different eras to the present imo. A lot of rap music was extremely homophobic in the 90s and would obviously be unacceptable by today's standards but dismissing the quality of it by that alone is unfair.

Even a more recent show like The IT Crowd falls prey to it and that was just in 2006.
