It's a shame he never got to portray the part on screen!

And actor Jack Holt's chiseled chin was the inspiration for Dick Tracy

I've always thought that Magneto looks like veteran character actor Morgan Woodward.

Robert Taylor = Dr Strange
Actually the 1960s were the best time to cast superhero parts.
Ty Hardin would have been a good Kazar or Captain America-he had a Jack Kirby face.
I had an idea for a Buck Henry (therefore silly) version of the Fantastic Four My cast would have been
Dick Van Dyke as Reed Richards Stella Stevens as Sue Fabian as Johnny and George Kennedy as the Thing
Even in a serious version, Kennedy would have been a decent Thing voice.
Robert Walker Jr was once suggested as Peter Parker. I DO like that pick, but there were lots of others from movies or tv back then that could have done a decent version of any number of characters.

Robert Walker Jr. basically looks like he stepped out of a 60's comic book panel as Peter Parker! Great casting!
