Finally got around to watching my Blu-rays of Gotham Season 4 (thankfully they didn’t have the same problem as the Season 3 ones where they took 10-15 minutes to get past the loading screen that comes up after you put the discs in) at the same the time I was watching Swamp Thing (thereby getting a double dose of Crystal Reed) and just finished the season today. Since the cast of regulars in this show is still as ridiculously big as ever, I’ll just address the season character by character (in the order that the actors who play them are listed in the credits at the start of every episode this season). One good thing about such a large 'regular' cast is that it allows for lots of different/interesting dynamics, as characters who've never interacted before finally get to do so after several seasons of the show. James Gordon - My memory of the previous seasons is a bit fuzzy since there’s such a large gap in between when I watched them and now, but I seem to remember thinking Jim was a bit of an idiot/jerk off and on throughout the earlier seasons. He still had the jerkiness this season and continued making some boneheaded moves, but I liked when he got some one-on-one scenes with certain characters. His stuff with Bullock was good at times (when they weren’t both being idiots). I like when we see that Jim actually cares about people he’s not just in ‘What the hell, I’ll do whatever I want’ mode. Oftentimes this show feels like a free-for-all and characters can just throw away their beliefs and be written whatever way the writers want them to be that serves whichever storyline they’ve most recently come up with, so it’s appreciated when characters actually feel like themselves/there’s some consistency. Also consistent? That getting shot means virtually *nothing* in this universe, considering Jim got shot four times by Sofia and was pretty much fine in the next episode (the fact that they tried to brush it off with Lee commenting on it doesn't actually excuse it. If certain characters can receive wounds that *should* be fatal and they survive them, then it makes you wonder why others can't - other than some having 'plot armour' whilst others don't). It amused me whenever Jim whipped out his flip phone, as I've always wondered since this show began...what time period is it meant to be set in? The 'look' Harvey Bullock - Like Jim, he was a bit of a jerk this season off and on, but I liked when we saw how much he cared about Jim and remembered they were friends. As usual, Harvey got some good lines here and there, but he also seemed to flip-flop between when he felt he should adhere to the law and when he made exceptions (much like Jim did). I’m glad they gave Donal Logue some good serious/genuinely emotional moments to play, as he’s quite capable of them. Apparently gunshots aren't the only things people survive in this universe, as Bullock got his throat cut and was fine in no time. Hell, it didn't even affect that way he spoke (at least in Angel, when Wesley had his throat slit, it took him two episodes to be up and walking around/speaking again and he had a gruff voice as a result). Bruce Wayne - Or as I came to think of him as when he was in his ‘brat’ phase this season: Douche Wayne. I get that they wanted to show how he decides to play up the ‘rich, entitled playboy’ role when he gets older, but it really did seem a bit forced here. One minute Alfred was telling him to just play along with the ‘bratty’ role at an auction, and then the next Bruce was boozing it up, being offensive to his friends (I felt the most sorry for Alfred and Selina) and just going WAY overboard. At this stage of the season I wanted any of his ‘friends’ who he was a jerk to to knock him on his arse and beat some sense into him. Thankfully Selina was around to tell him what a jerk he was and he eventually ditched that loathsome attitude. I still couldn’t really take him seriously when he was beating up grown adults, as he still looks a bit too young to be believably pulling that off (it really did feel like they were speeding things up due to not having the show around much longer). If this series had lasted as long as Smallville (10 seasons), then I think they could’ve reached Bruce-as-an-adult in a less rushed manner. Leslie Thompkins - For a while I thought it felt like they didn’t know what to do with Lee (I’ve felt that way about quite a few characters in this show, actually), but they seemed to settle into making her not necessarily ‘bad’, but not her Season 1 ‘good’ self either. She’s reached a ‘happy medium’, and I think she’s all the more interesting because of that. I liked that she worked he way towards becoming ‘Queen of the Narrows’ (though I’m not quite sure that is something worth being super-proud of, as it’s basically ‘Queen of the Street Bums’) more or less). I did like how she managed to ‘handle’ Ed Nygma. The two had an interesting/fun dynamic/chemistry (things weren’t looking too good for either of them in the season final though - here’s hoping Hugo Strange doesn’t do to them what the aliens did to Sarah Jessica Parker and her Chihuahua in the movie Mars Attacks!). It was slightly ridiculous when she and Ed were stabbing each other (stupid Lee! You don't turn your back on someone you just stabbed and left the knife in, thereby giving them a weapon to stab YOU!). I got tired of the fight club and her storyline seemed to not know where to go for a while, but hopefully they keep her interesting in the final season. The only thing I wasn't so fond of was her shooting Sofia Falcone. I mean...I get it, she (along with a lot of other characters) had her reasons for killing Sofia, and I guess that there was a bit of 'satisfaction' that came from Lee being the one to do it, but I just found Sofia and Crystal Reed's portrayal of her so interesting/captivating, that I kind of hated to see her seemingly offed (though, apparently, not quite). Alfred Pennyworth - I felt sorry for him quite a bit this season, but there are still times when he says or does something I'm not fond of. I also thought it morbidly amusing that Bruce (when he was being a brat) used Alfred's habit of hitting kids against him/as blackmail material (he'd hit Selina in a previous season, and I'm probably forgetting other instances). Sean Pertwee did a good job when Alfred was pleading with Bruce to get back on track/back to who he was (though Alfred was somewhat to blame for sending Bruce down that path). I liked that Alfred seemed to dislike Selina slightly less this season. They were actually civil with each other and showed that they cared about one another even if they didn't really act like it most of the time. Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin - I've kind of been 'over' his shtick for a while now. He seems to just always be paranoia, threatening to kill everyone, backstabbing, flipping sides back and forth and hating just about any woman character he crosses paths with. It was odd to see him actually genuinely coming to 'trust' Sofia when she befriended him, as I totally thought he was just playing along, but given how betrayed he felt, apparently his trusting her/thinking of her as a 'friend' was genuine? I won't deny that Robin Lord Taylor has totally made the role his own and pretty much every incarnation of The Penguin from this point on will be compared to his portrayal, but he seems to have the same three or so line deliveries as far as his 'acting range' is concerned. There's the over-the-top yelling, the slightly amused while also royally pissed off snarking, and the more subdued/quietly threatening. Occasionally we'd get the wide-eyed shock/disbelief look, but on the whole I have come to think he's not really veering far from his 'comfort zone' as far as acting is concerned. This is no doubt an unpopular opinion, of course. We *did* see him show some seemingly genuinely feelings towards the orphan kid who became a double agent (or was it triple agent?) in the war between him and Sofia, but that kid just bugged me and I thought it showed a lack of balls when they revealed he was still alive after Oswald had seemingly offed him (sure, we can have all manner of nastiness/gruesome deaths/gore, but killing one kid? TOO MUCH!). I was happy whenever anyone beat up/injured or back-stabbed Oswald, as he so richly deserves it. If he wasn't wearing plot armour that ensures he'll live on indefinitely (because he needs to become Batman's enemy in the future), I would've thought he should be dead by now. It's ridiculous that he isn't. Considering all the crap he's pulled and people he's betrayed, he should be dead ten times over. Anyway, I was at least glad to see him interacting with a wide range of characters this season and not just the usual group (and there was some nice poetic justice in him being forced to eat homeless person meat pie after he tricked Melinda Clarke's character into eating her kids back in Season 2). Barbara Kean - She was another character who it felt like the writers didn't know what to do with. I wasn't really enjoying her at the start of this season, as she seemed to have had all of her personality removed and was quite 'boring'. It also felt like she had no real point/purpose in the first part of the season. Then, however, we discovered she was brought back from death by Ra's al Ghul and she inherited the 'Demon's Head' glowy hand thingy and suddenly she felt like she found a purpose. I honestly didn't really care that it seemed like the writers just pulled this out of nowhere to give her character something to do, as I've liked Erin Richards since seeing her in the UK version of Being Human and was glad they managed to keep her character around on this show despite the fact that it felt like she was one of the more 'disposable' characters back in Season 1 and that if anyone was going to get killed off, it'd be her. Thankfully, the writers managed to continue finding ways of keeping her character around (no matter how ludicrous). I enjoy Erin Richards' portrayal of Barbara in all her nutso glory and she oftentimes gets some of the best lines. She amuses me, and I'm glad she's stuck around. Selina Kyle - Another character who seemed to struggle a bit to find her 'purpose'. It felt like she went whichever way suited her in the moment, but more or less felt 'directionless'. However, I'm glad she got to kick butt and even wielded a whip this season (I actually bought her beating up bad guys more than I did Bruce). I felt bad for her when nobody was taking her seriously, as she was actually the one who stuck to whatever mission the group was given. She got stuff DONE. Yes, she occasionally got in over her head, but at least she didn't get sidetracked from the job at hand (like so many others did). It was a shame they didn't have more stuff between her and Ivy, considering they were 'friends' once, but I was glad to see Selina interacting with most of the other main characters this season. I felt especially bad for her, though, when she got shot in the second-to-last episode this season (if only Bruce had actually listened to her when she told him time and time again how much his security at Wayne Manor sucked). She was such a good friend to Bruce and was rewarded by not only potentially being crippled for the rest of her life, but also the fact that Bruce couldn't even keep his promise to her that he wouldn't leave her. Honestly, if she's mad at him next season for breaking his promise, I won't blame her. He doesn't deserve her. Selina rocks! Edward Nygma/Riddler - It was somewhat amusing/satisfying to see Ed stripped of his 'smarts' at the beginning of the season once he was released from the ice. Other characters making fun at his expense *should* have made me feel sorry for him...but I just couldn't, given all the crap he's done to others. It then felt a bit underwhelming when Lee revealed it wasn't that he'd lost his smarts and there was some secret way of getting them back, but rather he'd never lost them in the first place and it was all just a mental thing. It felt a bit too 'easy'. Even 'easier', though, was Oswald turning Ed back into 'The Riddler' by just simply calling him that. I will say that I liked his dynamic with Lee and how she was able to outsmart him. They made for an interesting pair. I got a bit sick of the 'multiple personality' thing he had going on (shouldn't that have been more of a Two-Face thing? Speaking of...Harvey Dent just suddenly disappeared, it would seem. Guess they couldn't get the same actor back? They should've just recast). The Riddler/Penguin dynamic, in comparison, just felt like the same old thing with them constantly betraying/threatening/yadda yadda. I'd take more Ed/Lee over Riddler/Penguin any day. Tabitha Galavan - I can't say her character has ever held my interest particularly. She's a butt-kicking female character in a show with a number of those already. I never cared about her relationship with Butch, so all that stuff was rather boring for me to sit through. I was annoyed with the way she'd treat Selina and her defending/saving Barbara one second only to turn on her the next got a bit old. Jessica Lucas is fine, but I'm not sure her character really fills any role that one of the others couldn't. I don't really have a problem with her character, but she hasn't done anything to make herself a favourite of mine either. Lucius Fox - It's kind of ridiculous that he's credited as a 'regular' but is only in episodes here and there. Being credited as 'regular' in a show used to actually mean something (back in the days of BtVS, for example) - like you'd be a character who was needed/necessary in pretty much every episode. I wonder if the 'regular' castmembers have to get paid a certain percentage more than guest cast, etc. If so, they're paying half their regulars for a lot of episodes they don't even appear in. Anyway, Lucius was good when they gave him something, but he still feels underused. I at least enjoyed when he was under Ivy's spell and acting obsessed with her (like everybody else she blasted with her perfume). I also enjoy when he gets to have some snarky back-and-forth with Jim, Bullock and Alfred. Butch Gilzean/Solomon Grundy - When it was revealed his character wasn't even actually DEAD (after Barbara shot him in the forehead in last season's final), I thought to myself, "Oh, COME ON!". It's honestly getting close to Supernatural-levels of ridiculousness when it comes to characters who SHOULD be 100% dead, but are in fact only 'mostly dead'. When Butch's corpse was sent into the swamp I thought maybe he was going to become Killer Croc...but, no, instead he became this Solomon Grundy character who I knew nothing about (and made me wonder if he would've taken the name of whatever song was playing on the gramophone at that time - to think what it could've been). The majority of the season he just served the role of 'muscle' for Nygma (who claimed to be his 'friend'), then Butch got his memory back literally from Tabitha beating it into his head. Then there was that period where he was being strung along by Oswald into finding a way back to being his regular self. I was prepared to be annoyed that Butch's death would've been completely undone by him eventually winding up back to how he once was...but then once that happened, Oswald shot him dead AGAIN and it felt like WTF was the POINT?! It was doubly ridiculous that a plain ol' gunshot wound to the chest killed him dead dead, when a bullet to the forehead only made him mostly dead. Still, I always felt the character of Butch survived far too long. Sure, he mad an above average interesting henchmen in Season 1, but then because he was apparently 'popular' the writers kept him around even when it felt like he'd outlived his usefulness/worn out his welcome on the show. Here's hoping this time he actually remains dead for crying out loud! Sofia Falcone - As previously mentioned, I was completely engrossed with her character this season. There are all these wackadoodle characters running around with silly named and gimmicks, but she was just simply a daughter of a crime lord who knew what she wanted and was willing to do whatever necessary to get it. She had no powers or anything, but she was still one of the show's best villains. I liked that she played 'the long con' on Oswald, and that she was always thinking several steps ahead of other characters (she knew who she had to blackmail/threaten), it seemed her main 'undoing' was getting on the 'bad side' of so many characters, as they all teamed up to work against her. If only she'd been a bit more sneaky and not let her true self be known until she'd secured everything she need/wanted. And I must say, as hot as Crystal Reed has been in other shows I've seen her in, it was like she was on a whole 'nother level of hotness in this show. Maybe it was the lighting or the vast array of amazing outfits she sported throughout the season... But MY GOODNESS,was she unbelievably drop-dead gorgeous in this show! I totally get why Beccy was constantly mentioning her hotness when the season was airing, @deblovesbeccy . It's too bad she was put into a coma (what is it with bullets to the forehead having this effect? Do they just outright KILL people? No, instead they simply put them into a coma), and I would've held out hope she'd be brought back...but after looking at Crystal Reed's IMDB list of credits, it appears they just weren't able to find room to bring her back in the final season. Such a shame. Crystal Reed was a stand-out addition this season. Ra's al Ghul - Meanwhile, this dude wasn't all he was cracked up to be, I felt. While I have liked Alexander Siddig in other things, he didn't particularly impress me here as Ra's. Sure, the show pronounced the character's name the way I'm sure a lot of comic book fans have been saying shows/movies *should* have been pronouncing it for ages, and they got someone physically closer to the comic book version...but I think I actually preferred Matt Nable's more laid-back version of Ra's in Arrow (unpopular opinion, I know). For all his threatening and acting sinister and whatnot, I never felt this Ra's was actually in any way 'intimidating'. He seemed to do a lot of talking, then his master plan was revealed to be...he wanted Bruce to kill him. Which he did. Then he was gone for a long time (seriously, Alexander Siddig must've had the record having his name appear in the most episodes he actually *wasn't* in), only to be brought back AGAIN and this time *not* wanting to die (for some reason), but Barbara awesomely used Bruce to kill him again (this time seemingly fore realsies, if his turning into ash was any indication). He just felt like a big ol' disappointment for a character that was built up as so 'bad-arse' or whatever. I still like Liam Neeson's movie version the best. No, he mightn't have had the Lazarus Pit and been ancient, but he at least felt like a worthy villain for Batman. This version? Not so much. As for the guest stars this season... Cameron Monaghan was impressive Jerome and I really think they should've kept him as the show's version of the Joker (even if they couldn't actually call him that in the show), but instead he was killed off. At least he was entertaining. His twin brother, Jeremiah? Kind of bored me. He was less 'whacky' and didn't have all the over-the-topness that Jerome did, and I was willing to give this different version a chance (after all, I've always said I prefer 'quiet menace' to villains who're ALWAYS YELLING), but he just didn't grab my attention like Jerome did. He was going for the creepy slow-talking thing, but I just didn't feel any 'menace' from him. It really did feel like the writers were struggling to make him match the awesomeness that was Jerome and the only thing of note Jeremiah did was shoot poor Selina. At least whenever Jerome was in an episode, it (usually) promised to be entertaining (though I will admit there was an episode or two in the middle of the season where not even he was able to make them interesting). The only time I sort of liked Jeremiah was when he was acting 'normal' (before the laughing gas happened - and, seriously, he didn't think something was up with that mysterious gift left for him? Who, other than Jerome, leaves things like that? Sure, it was marked 'Wayne Enterprises', but he still should've twigged to it not actually being what it was presented as. Also, I'd thought they did a pretty good job with the laughing gas effect previously, but the one used for Jeremiah just didn't look 'right' at all). I was more interested in the Ecco character (who's clearly a precursor to Harley Quinn). We only saw her briefly this season, but even in that small amount of screentime she intrigued me more than Jeremiah. I was over the character of Jervis Tetch after several episodes of him last season, so seeing him again annoyed me. I haven't really gotten a 'feel' for Victor Fries as a character, so I don't have much of an opinion on him, while Firefly just comes across as rather lame since all she seems to kill with her flamethrower is air. Jonathan Crane was mildly interesting once he embraced his Scarecrow persona, but the most memorable thing he did was spray people with Jerome's laughing gas - now THAT was horrifying! Too bad they didn't take full advantage of that and have it effect more characters. The effects used were pretty impressive in how they closely resembled the comic book versions of characters who'd been affected. It was truly unnerving. The Pyg made me think of the Goat from Season 1 and I was disappointed by the fact that there would never be a barnyard animal team-up. I was also disappointed that Maggie Geha was replaced and I felt sorry not only for the actress, but Ivy's character when everyone was treating her badly. Still, she should've had enough brains not to drink an unknown/untested substance. Peyton List did a good job with what she was given, but it did feel as though the writers rushed her into becoming this version of Ivy and then after doing so, gave her the boot (here's hoping she returns next season and is treated better as a character). If I could describe this show in one word, it'd be 'crazypants'. It really has always felt to me like the writers throw EVERYTHING at the wall and see what sticks. It goes all-out, and sometimes this can be a benefit, but other times to the show's detriment. Still, I'm much more into the show these last couple of seasons than I was back in Season 1, where I actually found it rather boring (which is something a show based off of Batman/featuring Batman-related characters should NEVER be). I'm hoping the final season isn't as much of a disappointment as so many other shows' final seasons have been.

Hi,
I have been having a good month because I don't have to work long hours anymore, and I will have a holiday at the end of this month, which I'll spend with my nieces. The weekend with them and the sledding etc. was great and I have also had time to meet some friends whom I haven't seen in a long time. I have been watching Supernatural at a slower pace, because I started to read The Stand by Stephen King and thus I have watched only 1 episode/day. I have also watched MacGyver, because I always like to watch something while I'm playing guitar. The last movie I watched for the first time was Rambo: Last Blood, and I'll probably rewatch Dog Soldiers soon.
I hope your flu will be completely gone very soon and it's also nice to hear that most of the fires are out. Although the floods can cause damage too, it's probably lesser of two evils. The risk of contamination reminds me of my old job which involved taking water samples for laboratory analyses. We never had any floods, though.
Those names are not familiar to me, because I haven't played any Sonic games, but I played games like Star Control, Tetris, Space Commander, Grand Prix Circuit and Doom when I was a child. I agree with you about Daniel Craig, but Man of Steel is one of my favorite superhero movies.
I havent seen the last episode of season 9 yet, but I'll watch it tomorrow. I'll tell what I think of it in a separate post when I have seen that last episode.
Edit: I thought it would be better to just add my thoughts of season 9 to this post, after all. I watched the last episode yesterday and it was a great ending to a very good season. Gadreel was an interesting character and I was surprised when his real identity was revealed, but my favorite new character was Cain, though. I liked Timothy Omundson on Xena and it was interesting to see him play a completely different character. Abaddon was one of my favorite villains and perhaps she died too soon, but on the other hand I liked the way Dean killed her. Although I expected that the mark of Cain would change Dean somehow, I didn't expect that he would become a demon. It seems that the next season will have a good story arc and hopefully they will continue the storyline with Crowley.
Hi Raimo47
How have you been lately? That is nice to hear you have been having a good month and after sadly not having the best Valentine's Day 'cause I was sick with the flu again Beccy and I had a wonderful Wedding Anniversary on Monday and we both had the day off work for that and went out for lunch and dinner and we had dinner at a Chinese Restaurant I have been going to since I was little with my Sister and Grandfather and the guy who owns the place used to be friends with my Grandfather and he is still alive but he mostly just takes people's orders now and walks around talking to people and he is very friendly and always says about how he remembers me when I was a little girl. We got Prawn Cutlets, Prawn Toast, Prawn Chips, Prawn Cocktails, Honey and Sesame Prawns and Vegetables and Hot Chips and we are mostly vegetarians but we like eating seafood and prawns are our favourite along with Crab sticks and Calamari Rings and the Chinese Restaurant have a lot of Prawn meals and we get Prawn Omelettes, Prawn Salads and Braised Prawns and Mushrooms there sometimes too and do you like prawns?
I hope you enjoy your holiday with your Nieces and working less hours at work and we have my youngest Niece coming over to spend the weekend with us again tomorrow and we are planning on taking her to a few places and we will be watching the latest WWE pay per view, 'WWE Super Showdown' with her which we recorded on our Foxtel IQ at 4 am this morning and I don't know if you are much of a wrestling fan but Goldberg returned for it to face the Fiend and I am trying to avoid wrestling sites so I don't see any spoilers for it but I think I have already seen one on CBR. I am glad you had a good time with them and you got to see some friends you hadn't seen in a while and some of our friends we don't see as often as we used to 'cause they are so busy with work and with their kids but they come here to visit every now and then and we visit them and I talk to them on the phone and on emails. It is weird seeing some of them with kids now 'cause I have known them for a long time and didn't think they would ever have kids and it is funny how so many that used to say they weren't going to have them have kids now and changed their minds when they got older.
Beccy and I changed our minds about kids after considering them and it was for the best and I doubt we could look after a baby and our pets and our pets would definitely get jealous but I know my Sister is going to be fine with her new Baby. We actually have Stephen King's novel of 'The Stand' in our collection and out of curiosity is that the original novel or the expanded edition 'cause there is a bigger expanded version of that which is huge and we got that one. Did you see the last adaption of 'The Stand' and hear they are making a new one? The new one is going to be longer than the last one and include parts in the novel that were missing in the last one they couldn't afford to have 'cause of the budget at the time and I think the tornado and the aeroplane crash will be in it 'cause those two things were noticeably absent from the last one. I liked the last one with Rob Lowe though and that was one of Stephen King's longest roles in a movie or TV Show based on his work and I have heard Katharine McNamara from 'Arrow' and 'Shadowhunters' is going to be in it as Julie Lawry and it will be interesting to see what it and the TV Show of 'The Dark Tower' turns out to be like.
My Aunt is a big fan of MacGyver and she had a crush on Richard Dean Anderson when he was younger but she doesn't like the new guy playing him in the remake and thinks he is a bit of a dork. I liked him in 'MacGyver' too though and in 'Stargate SG1' and I didn't find out why he left 'Stargate' until later and thought it was weird how he left 'cause he was the main star and it and I am not sure if he will ever return to acting now. I saw some of the 'Rambo' movies but haven't seen them again for a long time and we were watching a Jean Claude Van Damme movie last night and we got my Uncle a big box set of his movies for Christmas and I have seen a lot of Action films with Jean Claude Van Damme, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Bruce Willis, Liam Neeson and Sylvester Stallone in them and I have also seen some of Steven Segal's movies but aren't really a big fan of him as a person after what I have heard about him. Wow. I didn't know you played guitar and I play guitar too and we have acoustic and electric guitars here and I can also play piano and drums but it has been a long time since I last played the drums and I mostly play acoustic guitar and piano and have taught my youngest Niece how to play both.
I have heard of some of the games you mentioned and I used to have 'Tetris' on Gameboy when it first came out here and that was a fun game and I am a big fan of adventure type games and I have always liked Mario, Sonic, Pokemon, Kirby, Alex Kidd, Wonder Boy, Donkey Kong Country, Commander Keen, Jill of the Jungle, Rayman, Spyro the Dragon, Yoshi, Crash Bandicoot, Skunny, Hugo, Hocus Pocus, Bano Kazooie, Conker's Bad Fur Day and Metroid games to name a few and I have been playing 'Pokemon Shield' lately and am going to go back to playing 'Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild' sometime soon to finish it. My Grandfather bought my Sister and I our first video game console which was a Sega Master System and we had games like Alex Kidd, Wonderboy and Dynamite Dux and I have liked video games since then and had a lot of the consoles over the years.
Thanks for letting me know your thoughts on Season 9 of 'Supernatural' and I liked Cain too and he was an interesting character and it is a shame they didn't use him in more episodes 'cause he was pretty popular. He plays a part in Dean's storyline with the Mark of Cain and not to spoil anything for you but Death does too and the events that occur in Season 10 lead to Amara (God's Sister) turning up in Season 11 and she is very powerful and the actress, Emily Swallow is rather sexy too and I think a lot of fans who say 'Supernatural' went downhill after Season 5 and was no longer good overlook some of the storylines in the latter seasons and Season 10 and 11 were pretty good in my opinion and had some great episodes. Dean becoming a demon for a while was an interesting storyline and was kinda similar to when Sam had no soul in Season 6 and he gets pretty out of control and Sam and Castiel have to come up with a way to cure him. Abaddon was great and I can't remember exactly when but I am pretty sure she returns again and we are all hoping now Crowley returns for the last season and since you already know Chuck is God I can tell you he returns in Season 11 and reveals himself to be God but I won't say anymore than that.
Hi Deb,
thanks for asking, I have had a great time with my nieces and fortunately we had enough snow so we could have a snowball war and go sledding and hiking to a nearby forest. It's good to hear that you had a wonderful Wedding Anniversary, congratulations! I'm not exactly sure about the difference between prawn/shrimp, but I do like shrimps and especially shrimp noodles. I used to watch WWE in the early 2000s, but I have always been more interested in real fighting, and I preferred UFC and Pride. At its best WWE was good entertainment, though, and I still remember all the big names of that era like Stone Cold Steve Austin and Kurt Angle etc.
I have the expanded version of The Stand and I have seen the old adaptation, but I don't remember much of it. I have read about the new adaptation and I'm definitely going to watch it, but above all else I wish that they would make a better adaptation of my favorite book 'Salem's Lot.
There have been all kinds of rumors and accusations of Seagal's objectionable behavior, but I don't know if there is any truth to them, and in spite of all that I still like his 90s movies, especially Hard to Kill, Out for Justice and Marked for Death. Van Damme is probably my least favorite action star, but I like Timecop and Hard Target. Schwarzenegger, and especially Stallone, are among my favorite actors.
I was a guitarist in an underground band and I also played all the bass tracks to our songs. I have also played some drum and keyboard tracks to some songs in some underground projects and I have also recorded some underground bands' demos when I had rehearsal space and recording equipment in my old apartment. Nowadays I just play guitar while I watch some tv-show or sports etc. I remembered that you mentioned in some thread that you play guitar too and if I remember correctly you have also played in a band/s?
I have now seen the 10 first episodes of season 10 of Supernatural. I can write more detailed post about what I think of this season when I have seen all the episodes, but I can already say that I like this season and I strongly disagree with those who think that Supernatural went downhill after Season 5.

Just finished Season 5/the final season of Gotham on Blu-ray. It was nice to see the 'regular' cast list reduced somewhat (down to only 9 from, what was it last season, 13? 14? When Lee eventually showed up again and Morena Baccarin's name was added back, it upped the total to 10, but that's still quite the difference from previous seasons). Unlike my review of last season where I tackled each character individually, I'm just going to address my thoughts on this season/the characters in bullet point form (and they mightn't necessarily be in chronological order). Firstly, I loved Oswald’s bulldog that he named Edward (apparently the dog was a girl in real life and was just playing a boy). All season I was worried the poor dog was going to be offed, but thankfully he lived (though it was sad he was stuck in the submarine in the second-to-last episode). Secondly, what was with the characters' hair this season?! Barbara’s new haircut was pretty blah, I thought. It got slightly better in the second-to-last episode, as it was styled a bit better and didn't just look like a blonde version of what Oswald's hair was in the early seasons of the show, but she'd looked much better in Season 1 when she had her long blonde hair. She looked stunning in the final episode as a redhead, though (but I'm not sure how that's supposed to explain how her daughter will wind up with red hair - neither of her parents were natural redheads, so how would they have a daughter with red hair unless she dyed hers red too?). Worse than Barbara's short 'do was Ed Nygma's hair this season. WTF was that?? And then in the last episode he was sporting even longer hair that reminded me of Jim Carrey's version of Edward Nygma before he became the Riddler in Batman Forever. The only one whose hair actually improved from last season was Lee. I wasn't particularly fond of Morena Baccarin's hair last season, so when she eventually turned up this season, I was relieved to see it looking actually good again (albeit shorter). Speaking of Lee, I spent the majority of the season wondering where the heck she was and what Hugo Strange had done to her and Ed at the end of last season. Turns out...they both got the Spike-from-BtVS treatment and received chips in their heads that controlled them. I thought for sure Jim was going to be forced to kill Lee when she was mind-controlled into attacking him, but thankfully he found a way around that. I was pretty surprised she survived the season, as I seemed to remember reading theories ages ago that she'd wind up dead eventually. It was a nice surprise to see that didn't in fact end up being the case. I know I keep going on about the hair, but what was the reason for Lee having red streaks in her (longer) hair after the 'ten years later' jump? Was that somehow supposed to make her look 'older'? Whatever the reason, she still looked good. Lee didn't have much to do this season, but I'm glad she survived. I'm not sure I entirely bought her becoming 'friendlier' with Barbara (so much so that Barbara gave her child 'Lee' as her middle name - though I did see that coming quite a while before the reveal), but now that I think about it, it showed some 'growth' from both of them and it's always nice when writers don't resort to female characters being pitted against each other because of a man they both want to be with. It was actually quite refreshing that both Lee and Barbara reached some sort of 'agreement' between them and Lee was with Jim, but Barbara let Jim be part of his daughter's life. The show didn't always make the best use of Morena Baccarin, but I'm glad I got to see her in another series after Firefly and V. It was also good that Barbara wasn't killed off so hers and Jim's daughter could be raised by him and Lee (I think some people may have theorised that this might've happened). Although I was never attached to the Tabitha character, I thought Jim was rather useless when he didn't shoot Oswald before he could kill her. After Oswald offed her and Barbara swore revenge, it was obvious she was never actually going to get any revenge on him. Consequently, it got real old real fast every time she had a gun pointed at him/could've killed him, but didn't. So she told him she would never forgive him for what he'd done...big deal! I don't think it really mattered to Oswald that much whether she forgave him or not. Probably her 'best' moment this season was when Lee was pushing Barbara's pregnant self around in a wheelchair as she shot badguys... while in labor! Only on Gotham would they be able to get away with something as bonkers as that. The show may have constantly been changing what Barbara's purpose/personality was, but I'm glad they kept her around for the entire run of the series (I also loved her habit of calling Oswald 'Pengy', as it amused me). Regarding Barbara and Jim, I'm not sure Batigrl fans would be overly fond of the fact that little Barbara Gordon/future Batgirl was conceived from a drunk one-night stand between the two (bad drunk decisions, Jim, but you’re both messed up people, so it makes a certain kinda sense). I got sick of Jim’s ‘hope speeches’ and his bonding with the refugee kid. Talk about a waste of screentime that could've gone towards characters we actually *knew*/ cared about. Yes, I get that their scenes together were there to make the kid's death have more 'impact' when Haven was blown up...but it just simply didn't. I also got sick of Jim going easy on the villains and even saving them at times, like when he saved Zsasz from angry mob (naturally they have guillotines in Gotham, it’s no weirder than how people dress and their technology), letting him go, wanting to have a shootout with him, telling Bullock to give him a gun, Zsasz backing down and being allowed to go free. I know others loved Zsasz, but I got fed up with his shtick pretty early on and would've been glad to see him finally get offed...but apparently that was too much to hope for. I liked that Jim was given some decent scenes with most of the 'regular' castmembers. I appreciated that the show gave a nod to Gordon's signature 'stache (though the one this Gordon was sporting looked more like a pornstache than anything), but then had other characters mock it and Jim quickly got rid of it/accepted that he just couldn't make it 'work' for him. I actually liked that Jim stuck Oswald and Ed in prison. Yes, they helped him against the army/Bane, but they still hadn't really 'paid' for their crimes, so I'm glad both of them were imprisoned for 10 years or whatever. It's about time they suffered some actual consequences for their actions. Regarding Oswald/Penguin...he didn't really do anything new/refreshing this season. It was the usual kill, threaten, team up, betray, get betrayed, rinse and repeat with him. About the only time we saw another 'side' to him was when he was telling Jim why he wanted to stay behind and try to save Gotham City. Of course, we also got to see him care about his dog, Edward, too. That was nice (but I kept fearing he'd turn on the poor pooch as well). I enjoyed him briefly teaming up with Selina and I liked that they got to share a good amount of screentime together for those episodes. What I wasn't so fussed on was that annoying (in Selina's words) 'Goth chicken'/Magpie woman. I couldn't even stand her for the small amount of time she was onscreen, so I was actually happy that Oswald 'took care' of her (with bullets). The whole bit with Mr. Penn turning out to be this show's version of the Ventriloquist felt really awkward/shoehorned in. Like, the show was rushing to introduce some more future villains from Batman's 'Rogues' Gallery' before the series ended, and it didn't care HOW or WHY, just that it wanted to get them in there. You knew things were really getting ridiculous when even Mr. Penn, who was thought dead, could come back to life (SO MANY characters were brought back, it felt unfair to those who weren't). Anyway, he was pretty lame, so again I didn't mind seeing him get offed (one less villain for Batman to worry about in the future, I guess). I know a lot of people adorned Robin Lord Taylor's portrayal of Oswald Cobblepot/Penguin, and I won't deny that he was good in the role/made it his own, but I just kind of got tired of his line deliveries after a while and his character's over-the-top constant yelling. Anyway, he'll be the version of the Penguin I'll be comparing all future versions too. Meanwhile, Edward Nygma was a pretty decent Riddler at times (though I can't recall him telling one riddle in the final episode, which seemed weird. Maybe he did and I missed it/forgot it). He was certainly better than Jim Carrey's version, at least. When Ed kept waking up in places where he didn’t remember how he got there, I briefly wondered if he had a Ben/Glory from BtVS thing going on (wouldn't that have been super weird, if Hugo Strange had somehow combined Ed and Lee into one form after we last saw him with them in the previous season's final?). Alas, it didn't end up being that interesting. It was weird that Ed was so adamant that he wouldn't have killed a bunch of people in Haven, yet he had no problem shoving an old-lady-witness-to-his-shenanigans out a window in her wheelchair. As much as he liked to claim that he wasn't 'that bad', he did some truly terrible things, just like Oswald...which, I guess, made them 'perfect' for each other. I found it a bit sudden when Ed was acting all mad at everyone in the last episode. It was like "Okay, now he needs to officially become the Riddler...aaaand now he *is*." (it was kind switch-flippy). I mean, he'd been villainous for ages, so I'm not sure what this was all meant to be about. I also found it weird that after all the set-up of his feelings for Lee last season, he barely interacted with her this season, nor did he seem to really care when she was in danger. Cory Michael Smith, like RLT, made this role his own, but I think I enjoyed early seasons Ed more than later seasons Ed/Riddler. I mean, there was never any subtlety to him (he was telling riddles from the first episode), but I appreciated there being more 'conflict' in his character during the first couple of seasons. Both Riddler and Penguin had basically reached the point where they were just repeating themselves, and it was rather fitting that they ended the show being strung up together on a lamppost by Batman. It felt very 'classic' Batman. I guess now would be the right time to address Batman himself...or rather Bruce Wayne. He seemed to spend most of this season hanging around at the GCPD, occasionally fighting, doing...stuff (not much of which I can really recall). I got sick of his acting all high and mighty about Selina slashing up that one big dude's face. Bruce has killed people, but kept saying he wanted to 'protect' Selina from doing that. She was able to decide for herself what she was willing to live with, and it was rather hypocritical of him to basically be all "Do as I say, not as I do." with her. I was happy to see him broken up about Alfred getting seriously injured, but trust Bruce to be a jerk and ditch Selina like he did in the second-to-last episode. It was interesting that the last we saw of him was going into the snowy hilltops for what was presumably the rest of his training to become Batman, then we didn't see him for most of the last episode, we just saw flashes of Batman. Thankfully, we got one final scene between Bruce and Selina on a rooftop. I'm not sure what they did for 'older Bruce'. It looked a tad weird. I imagine they at least did something to David Mazouz's voice. It was a bit sad to see the last time the two 'kid' versions were onscreen was Bruce leaving Selina behind and her watching him go without getting to tell him what she wanted to, but that rooftop scene helped make up for it a little bit (though not entirely). We spent five seasons with young Bruce Wayne, getting to know him, seeing various sides to him and how he would grow up to be the Bruce everyone knows. It's kind of a shame that the most interesting part of his journey was glossed over with the 'ten years later' time jump. THAT would've been the *really* interesting stuff to see. Oh well. No other young versions of Bruce Wayne will ever likely get as much character development as this one did, so kudos to him for fleshing out that chapter of Batman's life. Likewise, I'm not sure we'll ever get a version of Alfred quite like this one. He certainly wasn't as 'nice' as some other Alfreds. He could be quite tough (and let's not forget he had no problem punching kids/girls), but when Alfred was hurt - be it physically (like he was near the end of this season - I felt bad for him there) or emotionally (when Bruce would be horrible to him/say nasty things), I *did* feel sympathy for his character. I liked that he got a nice one-on-one scene with Lee in the episode where she got married to Jim. His and Selina's relationship was a complicated one, but certainly interesting (I was glad we got to see him interact with 'older' Selina too). I thought something had definitely changed in the final episode of the show. He was acting a bit oddly. I'm not sure what that was about. Anyway, Sean Pertwee was always good in the role and it'll be interesting if I ever get to see the Pennyworth series and compare young Alfred in that show to this Alfred. The show took this Alfred in some interesting directions and I'm glad he wasn't forgotten about/a waste of space. The Bullock-focused episode this season bored me, and I didn't like how often he'd flip-flop between what he was prepared to do and not prepared to do as far as killing badguys was concerned. He got some amusing reactions/lines here and there and certainly made for a better version of the character than the one I remember from Batman: The Animated Series (that was the Bullock I always remembered, but never liked). At least this Bullock was heavily-featured in the show and played an important role throughout/occasionally got some decent emotional material to work with...which is more than I can say for the character of Lucius Fox, who often felt like he didn't have much to do. This season he definitely helped out, but we never really seemed to get to *know* him. All I can really remember was that goofy look he had on his face when he was under the influence of Ivy's perfume. Speaking of Ivy, I'm not sure what the heck the writers wanted to do with her character throughout the show...and it seemed like they weren't sure themselves. We got three different actresses playing the role. I never much cared for the kid version, the Maggie Geha version felt wasted (and she'd been so good in the role too! She was amusing and made me feel sympathy for her character), and then the Peyton List version felt pretty 'rushed'. She comes, she causes some havoc, rants about plants, has a really weird sexual vibe with Bruce, gets injured, and then leaves (see what I did there?). It kind of felt like "What was the point?". Anyway, I thought Peyton List looked pretty fetching in her Witchblade-like viney/plant outfit. She played the role well enough, it's just a shame that the show didn't really seem to have planted the seeds for this version earlier in the show (yes, I have to stop with the plant-related wordplay, I know). Still, she fared better than Bane. WTH was that all about? Shane West ends up being Bane? He was more like a lame wannabe Darth Vader. It really felt like a desperate attempt to get the character into the show at the last minute. I was worried he was going to kill Lee, so I was glad he didn't (though I thought when he hurt Alfred badly that he had broken the poor butler's back, since he didn't have Batman yet to do that to). I enjoyed Bruce and Selina tag-teaming to take Bane on, and as soon as Lucius told Bruce about the beacon attracting animals I knew that's how the bats would come into play (just like I knew as soon as Oswald got his eye injured, that would lead to him needing a monocle). His character was pretty disappointing, but he was at least more threatening than some of the other lamer ones whose names I can't even recall. I didn't realise that Jaime Murray (who'll always be Lila from Dexter to me) was voicing the character of 'Walker' who we'd heard in the earlier episodes of the season and then finally got to meet towards the end. I'd seen her name listed in the guest star credits, but kept wondering where she was in the episodes since I hadn't caught sight of her. It didn't become clear to me until pretty late in the game, but I eventually worked it out. Same goes for the reveal of who she truly was (though I thought she'd be Talia rather than Nyssa). She was good in the role, but rather underused. Another villain who was injured, but managed to get away (with Edward the dog! *sniff*). Regarding the guest stars this season, I continued to enjoy Francesca Root-Dodson as Ecco/the 'proto Harley Quinn'. It's a shame that she got stabbed by Barbara and then shot by Jeremiah himself after he'd made out like she was something special to him (at least she died with a smile on her face, I guess? It's a real damn shame she got offed, while so many other villains got to continue living). Speaking of Jeremiah...I continued to be unimpressed with him when compared to Jerome. I just found this new version boring. The best thing involving his character was when Selina stabbed him REPEATEDLY (which was cheer-worthy, as I'd been exclaiming to the TV, "Stab him again! And again! Keep stabbing him!"). Even his plans were boring. I knew from the episode that ended with Jeremiah and two people that they’d been made to look like Bruce’s parents, his green gas was dull in comparison to Jerome purple laughing gas, and his sudden twisted 'love' for Bruce felt like it was just piggybacking on Jerome's obsession with Bruce. Jeremiah falling into the vat o’ chemicals, still being alive, but supposedly 'braindead'/no longer a threat' just made me go "HA!" at Bruce when he said that. Doesn't he know what city he was living in? They're not dead until you cut off their heads, burn their bodies to ashes, seal the ashes in concrete and bury them at the ends of the earth! Silly Bruce, he should've just let Selina off the jerkwad as he lay in the hospital bed. Cameron Monaghan was really good as Jerome, but I didn't like his Jeremiah. I liked Jeremiah's look as the Joker (not that they were actually allowed to call him that in the show, nor were they allowed to have him with green hair, apparently) even less. He kind of looked like a paler version of Igor from the Hugh Jackman Van Helsing movie. I know Joker is supposed to get 'scarred' from the chemicals, but this felt like too much. It also amuses me somewhat to read that some people thought Batman had offed the Joker/Jeremiah in the final episode. HA! As if. People just don't die that easily in this show. I've saved the best character for last. Camren Bicondova has consistently been excellent as the young Selina Kyle/Catwoman right from the start of the show. I was glad to see her given some decent emotional material to work with this season. After Bruce leaving Selina (when she'd been paralysed) the end of last season, I was prepared for her being mad at him, though it was very sad when she tried to kill herself and was willing to eat that seed Ivy had given him, not caring if it killed her. We then later saw her eyes turn green and were led to believe she was acting 'different' (according to Bruce), but honestly? I was on her side the whole time. She was doing things her way and not Bruce’s way, she was the only one to actually cause serious harm to Jeremiah (I hated that they robbed her of that victory by having him continue to live), she stood up to Ecco (that was a really good scene between the two of them), picked up some cool metal-clawed gloves and just generally got stuff done. I liked seeing her show real concern over Alfred after he got hurt by Bane and that we got to see her fight Bruce (since we weren't going to ever get to see them fight as Batman and Catwoman). While I was sad that the second-to-last episode was Camren Bicondova's final appearance as Selina Kyle in the show, what helped 'soften' the blow was the fact that she apparently wanted it this way. So she was quite happy for 'older' Selina to be portrayed by another actress and was overjoyed that the actress picked to take over from her in the role was noneother than Lili Simmons (who I've seen in a number of things, but will probably always remember for her role in Banshee). She was the PURRFECT (sorry) casting choice, I thought. She was totally believable as an 'older' version of Camren Bicondova. She looked the part and even spoke in the same manner. It's just a shame we got only this one episode to spend any time with her (at least this version got to interact with most of the main castmembers, as I had thought she was just going to turn up at the end of the episode and share that one scene with Batman/Bruce on the rooftop. It caught me by surprise that the time jump happened early in the episode and we got to see her a fair amount). I would TOTALLY watch a show about her character (Camren Bicondova could guest star in flashbacks as her 'younger' self). It's quite disappointing that this episode felt like the 'Pilot' for a new awesome show that we will never get to see. It basically pulled a ' Smallville' with the final reveal of Batman being the last thing we saw (just like Clark revealing himself wearing the Superman outfit was the last thing we saw in Smallville). It still surprises me how much I got into this show in its later seasons. Everything from Season 2 onwards was SO MUCH BETTER than Season 1 (which really didn't impress me/hold my interest). As much as I would've liked to see a continuation of what was set up into this final episode, I knew that was never going to happen (which is so very annoying, considering TV is the perfect way to tell the story of Batman. Better than via movies, I'd say). I'd really like a proper Batman TV show that was like Batman: The Animated Series - albeit in live action, but even if one day that happens, it sadly won't be with these actors/actresses, and that's the real tragedy, as so many of them were perfectly cast (or as near-perfect as one could hope for) here. This show was constantly 'crazypants', as I've previously said, but it was (for the most part) entertaining in its craziness. Goodbye, Gotham...you're a city that no SANE person would *ever* want to live in.

Hi Raimo47
How are you going today and are you having a good week? You’re welcome and spending time with my Nieces and Nephew is something I always love to do too and I am very close to my Sister, Brother In Law, Nieces and Nephew and we see them almost every day and on the days I don't I talk to my Sister on the phone and when Beccy and I bought our second house it was really important to me we lived somewhere close to her and my family 'cause our old house wasn't that close and we are in walking distance from them now. I didn't hate out first house and it was a nice place to live when we first got it but the street wasn't after we lived there for a while and there was a lot of crimes going on in the area and being getting robbed and fighting out in the street in the night and I didn't feel that safe living there and was always worried somebody was going to break into our house so we decided to move and I love the house we live in now and it is bigger than our old house and we have a lot more space and rooms a larger backyard and I don't think we could have fit all the pets we have now in our old house.
I would love to go sledding one day and it looks like it would be a lot of fun and I love Ice Skating and we have an Ice Skating Rink not far away from where we live that we go to every now and then to skate and I used to go there when I was younger and I taught myself how to skate and over the last decade I taught my Nieces and Nephew how to skate too and we always have a good time when we go there. Have you ever been Ice Skating? With the Coronavirus there is a chance places like that and Bowling Alleys could be closed down 'cause they are closing down a number of things in multiple countries now. I don't think the Coronavirus could survive in an Ice Skating Rink though 'cause I heard the places that aren't affected are the coldest like Antarctica. The Coronavirus is all over the news here and we have had a few people die from it here in Australia so far and we have gone from having the fires and floods on the news to this and it is crazy how much mass panic and hysteria this has caused here and some people have gone completely.
I don't know if it is happening where you live but a lot of our stores are sold out of toilet paper, tissues and paper towels every day and there have been people fighting over toilet paper in shopping centres and actually punching and kicking each other and getting arrested and if a person told me a few months ago people would be fighting over toilet paper now of all things I would probably think they were insane 'cause it is not something you see every day. It is pretty bad and some of our friends are more afraid of the people getting violent over it than the virus itself and the companies are working hard to increase stock and our shops are putting limits on how many packs of toilet roll and tissues you can get. Hand Sanitiser which we tend to call Soap on Tap and Milk Cartons are selling out now in a lot of shops and it is believed food is going to be the next thing people will be stocking up on and I think they are going to go for cans of things like soup, Baked Beans, Spaghetti, Macaroni Cheese and Cream Corn and the shops will have to put limits on how many of those we can buy too.
With the tissue situation i with the flu season coming up in our country there are going to be people with the flu struggling to get tissues while some healthy person who decided to rush in and bulk buy could have hundreds of packets which is unfair and thankfully we don't have a problem with tissues or toilet paper here and we had just bought a lot of them before this broke out but Beccy got some tissues recently she come across 'cause it is so rare when you find them so we have those if we run low. Thanks and we had a fantastic wedding anniversary and Beccy's birthday is coming up next week and I have got most of her presents for her now and am just waiting for some things to arrive in the mail I don't want her to see 'cause they are a surprise and Beccy will be having the day off work for her birthday and I have some things planned to do for her. We have Easter coming up soon and the 'Sydney Royal Easter Show' is going to be on next month but I am not sure if we will be going to it now with the Coronavirus. They haven't cancelled it yet and the organizers are saying it will be going ahead but that could change since big festivals and events like this that get a lot of people are being cancelled.
Oohh and did you hear the Olympics might not go through? I thought they could hold that off to next year if it didn't but I heard they won't have it again for another four years if it gets cancelled and that means all the people who have been working hard and preparing for these events will have to qualify again and some might not be able to do it by the next Olympics. I don't understand why they can't move it to next year and think it is very unfair for all the Athletes if it gets cancelled. We don't usually watch the Olympics but we were planning on watching it this year for the Surfing and Sally Fitzgibbons and Stephanie Gilmore are two surfers who are going to be representing our country in it and we named two of our pets after them and I have met both of them. I watched wrestling back then too and I started watching wrestling in the late 80s and I have been watching it for as long as I can remember and my Grandfather was a fan of wrestling and that was one of the things that got my Sister and I watching it and we used to watch both WWF and WCW in the 90s up until WCW went broke and then we had TNA here for years and we lost it a few years back.
The era you speak about was the best for male wrestlers in my opinion while today is the best for female wrestlers and WWE have taken female wrestling to a whole new level since the Women's Revolution but I think they owe a lot of credit to TNA 'cause TNA did a lot of it first when WWE was having their 2 minute matches that were always ending in role ups with the Kelly Kelly's, Eve's and Bella Twins. It was TNA having awesome matches with Mickie James, Gail Kim, Tara/ Victoria, Brooke, Taryn Terrell, Awesome Kong, Angelina Love, Velvet Sky, Madison Rayne etc etc. That's good you have the expanded edition of 'The Stand' and you might be interested in knowing a new remake of 'Salem's Lot' is on the way and there is also 'Jerusalem's Lot' TV Show in development which is going to be loosely based on both the prequel of the same name and the sequel, 'One For the Road' that were in 'Night Shift.' Did you see the 'Salem's Lot' movie with Rob Lowe and Samantha Mathis and what did you think of that and the one with David Soul?
That is awesome you were in an underground band and played guitar and I was in a band for a few years when I was younger and was the lead singer and we never made it famous or had a record deal but we got to tour as support for some of our popular Aussie Rock bands at the time and if I continued we could have got signed to a record deal and released an album but I gave up my music career for Beccy and 'cause I didn't want to be famous and have to tour around Australia all the time like some other bands were. I didn't think we would get to spend much time together if I did that and I had waited so long to be with her again being with Beccy was more important to me and I do miss performing in front of crowds sometimes and I still sing and write songs. I play guitar and piano here and taught my Nieces how to play both but I enjoy my current job and am happy with my life. What type of artists and bands were you most influenced by and what genres of music do you like the most? We have a very large music collection here and the genres I like most are Rock, Classic Rock, AOR/ Melodic Rock, Alternate Rock, Country, Progressive Metal, Symphonic Metal and Singer/ Songwriter.
I am looking forward to hearing more of your thoughts about 'Supernatural' and agree with you about the quality of the seasons and I think the show has always been enjoyable and some seasons are better than others and there were some things the writers done with the characters I thought could have been handled better but I don't think it ever went bad.

Most recently finished Swamp Thing on Blu-ray. If there's swampthing strange...in your neighborhood...who you gonna call? Crystal Reed, obviously! **spoilers below** I'd heard this show was cancelled soon after the first episode aired and from what I read it was something to do with the budget (is that correct, @deblovesbeccy ?). I can see how this show cost a pretty penny, as it looked like it actually put some effort into the costume for Swampy (that's what I'm calling him), special FX and the sets. It's too bad that rather than taking the cheap route, this show went to considerable lengths to make the title character and setting as good as possible and then were punished for it with cancellation. I guess if they'd just used crappy CGI/CGI'd sets and saved money they would've gotten another season possibly? Well, I for one was grateful to the show for putting in the time/money to make this show not look like every other show in this type of genre. Having said this^, I wasn't that into any of the storylines that weren't focused on the character of Abby Arcane (Crystal Reed, once again playing a character whose first and last names start with 'A' after three seasons as Allison Argent on Teen Wolf) and Swampy (kudos to Derek Mears who played the part of Swampy and was able to emote through all that makeup). I didn't realise Alec Holland (Andy Bean) was going to 'die' in the first episode and turn into Swampy. I'd thought he and Crystal Reed's Abby had nice chemistry/established a good dynamic between them and that was going to continue, so it caught me off guard when he was seemingly 'killed off'. Of course, then he became Swampy and I eventually came to the conclusion this was going to be like the Beauty and the Beast TV series with Linda Hamilton and Ron Perlman...only this 'beast' was less hairy and more gooey (it seemed to me that the gooeyness was reduced a bit later into the series/whenever he was shown in daytime. Just as well, otherwise it would've been extra icky for Abby when she kissed him - though they found a way around treating us to that visual by having Swampy develop the handy/convenient power to produce a flower from his hand which released spores that made her hallucinate him as looking like Alec once again. They missed a golden opportunity for some comedy there, where they could've showed Swampy doing all the mundane things we were watching Alec do...though I won't begrudge the show not feeling the need to force unnecessary humour like so many shows do these days. There wasn't many 'funny' moments, but I didn't mind that). It was their story which held my interest/kept me invested...as basically no other character/plotline did really. I didn't care about the Sunderlands. Virginia Madsen hasn't impressed me in any of the shows I've seen her (in her first scene with Crystal Reed, her character showed such animosity towards Abby, but since we weren’t familiar with their history at that point, we had no context for the animosity/all these intense emotions between their characters, and so the scene felt flat for me, as the whole time I was just left wondering what the hell had happened between them) and Will Patton's voice/accent/way of speaking was annoying me the whole time. I would've been happy if both characters had met a sticky end in the last episode of the show...but I guess I have to make do with Madsen's character ending up in the nuthouse (it was strange how she didn't seem to go full-blown 'crazy' until she was stuck in there against her will), while Patton's character stabbed the Sheriff and stuck her in the boot ('trunk' for Americans), before sending the police car into the swamp (which made the shot of that happening in the opening credits suddenly relevant). The Sheriff was another character who bored me, along with her son - though thankfully he seemed to meet his end in the post-credits scene of the final episode. Speaking of...they FINALLY did something with Kevin Durand's crazy character. While I sympathised with him wanting to find a cure for his wife's Alzheimer’s disease, he seriously thought ingesting organs removed from a plant-man was a good idea? I was just waiting to see if there were any side effects...unfortunately, there wasn't really any until the scene after the credits, and that was a tad late to be introducing an interesting character development. I imagine if the show had continued Swampy and Kevin Durand's devil-looking swamp thing were got to have an epic swamp thing battle. I also wondered what the point of the whole 'Blue Devil' thing was. Firstly, I haven't seen Ian Ziering in anything since Beverly Hills, 90210 - no, I haven't watched any of those Sharknado movies - but his 'acting' really stood out like a sore thumb here. Secondly, his character felt pretty pointless. He was meant to help Abby and then could leave town? I guess he did so by killing a bunch of dudes who we'd seen in a future vision were going to off Abby and her friend...but it still felt like a plotline that went basically nowhere. They spent several episodes leading up to the Blue Devil, he showed up, killed people and then skipped town. WTF was the point? I appreciated the imaginative grossness that was involved with several of the kills on this show. That first episode was especially impressive with the corpse that sprouted plants from it on the autopsy table. Speaking of autopsies, the one performed on poor ol' Swampy was pretty nasty (especially since he was AWAKE for it), though we did learn a crucial piece of information - that Alec had not in fact been 'turned into' Swampy, but rather he had died and Swampy was created with his memories and whatnot. I felt bad for him after that revelation. Meanwhile, I was amused to see Jake Busey show up in the last episode basically just to die in a grisly way (having the lower half of his face torn off by Swampy's plant friends). All in all, this was half-decent show when it focused on Swampy and Abby (I was so glad she didn't take ages to adjust to the sight of Swampy and by the end of the series was willing to stick with him, despite his Swamp Thing-ness), but the rest of it wasn't that interesting to me. Still, I'm glad it 'wrapped up' some stuff (I can live with the somewhat cliffhanger-y post-credits scene) and that I checked this show out. Other shows could learn from it as far as putting effort into creating a creepy atmosphere/putting their budget towards good quality monster suits/effects (just don't overspend - that's the lesson to be learned here, it would seem). Thanks for sharing your reviews for Season One of 'Swamp Thing' and Season 4 and 5 of 'Gotham Chalice_Of_Evil and I am glad you enjoyed both and rather than reply to you in three separate posts I thought it would be easier to reply in one post and first of all. Yes, 'Swamp Thing' sadly was cancelled due to the problems with the budget which made its cancellation even sadder 'cause if it hadn't been for that the show most likely would have got a second season and it being cancelled wasn't a reflection of the quality of the show. Beccy and I really enjoyed 'Swamp Thing' and Crystal Reed was great in the role of Abby Arcane and my biggest disappointment with her was we didn't get to see her get her powers but from what I read in an interview with Crystal she was supposed to get them in the following season and Season 2 would have seen her getting more involved in the action too. I am curious what would have happened in Season 2 'cause I have read so many bits and pieces about it and Zatanna and Constatine were going to be in it and I think Constantine would have been played by the same actor in the 'Arrowverse' making it some type of crossover episode with 'DC's Legends of Tomorrow' and I heard they were planning to use 'Swamp Thing' to launch Zatanna into her own show like they were with Lobo on 'Krypton' but sadly neither will happen now.
The Blue Devil character you mentioned that was played by Ian Ziering was also meant to have a bigger role in Season 2 which is why his character seemed so pointless and if they had more time to do the things they planned to do with him he might have felt more important in the storyline but with it being cut off a lot of things sadly never got finished and we will never get to see Swamp Thing go face to face with the villains they were setting up for him and Abby to face. I have heard there are plans to make a 'Swamp Thing' movie but if they do it will most likely not continue onto this show and will have different actors in the roles and I hope we get to see Crystal Reed in another leading role and she could be good as a superhero and perhaps Zatanna would be a good role for her to play. It was great how she was able to play two very different DC characters in both 'Swamp Thing' and 'Gotham' as the hero type of character and a villain and I can't remember if I told you but Sofia was meant to come back in Season 5 of 'Gotham' and I don't know if that was cut due to time or it had to do with Crystal being too busy with 'Swamp Thing' but if you have a look back at some of the interviews one of the producers mentioned her name in an interview along with Lady Shiva, Man Bat and Orphan/ Cassandra Cain who we sadly didn't get to see in Season 5 either.
I enjoyed Season 4 and 5 of 'Gotham' too and I share a lot of the same feelings about it as you but I was really annoyed when they killed off Tabitha 'cause I liked Jessica Lucas in the role and I thought it would have been fun to have had her become more of an antihero type of character that worked with Gordon to take down the other criminals in 'Gotham' 'cause there was one point in Season 4 where I think they could have done that with her and had her mostly looking out for Selina and wanting to get her away from the type of life she had. I was surprised we never got to see or hear any mention of Summer again 'cause it did appear Tabitha really cared about her and I think it might have been 'cause the actress moved to 'The Gifted.' I will admit some characters were handled poorly in 'Gotham' and I am a fan of Maggie Geha as you know but I think it was a mistake to have made Poison Ivy young from the start if they always planned on having her older and I think they should have just used one actress and had her develop all her powers by the end but I think it was too expensive to give Poison Ivy her full powers so we didn't get to see her with all her powers and they probably also didn't want to make her too powerful or the GCPD wouldn't have been able to stop her. Solomon Grundy was another character that was poorly handled and I don't know if you remember but Cyrus Gold was in Season 2 of 'Arrow' and they hinted at bringing him back by having all the green stuff on him and his hand moving but they never brought him back as Solomon Grundy.
Solomon Grundy is supposed to be a lot bigger and by bigger I mean huge and the guy is like a 13 foot zombie in the comics and Arkham games and he walks around with decapitated heads and arms saying "Born On a Monday, Buried On A Tuesday" and I thought Butch was too small and wasn't right for the role especially since Cyrus Gold is supposed to be hundreds of years old and he become Solomon Grundy sometime in the 1800s and in some adaptions it was the green stuff that turned Cyrus into Solomon Grundy that Ra's al Ghul took and changed and used to create the Lazarus Pit. Mr Freeze was another poorly handled character and they made him into more of a henchmen for Penguin than his own character and I thought killing off Nora was a bad idea but the biggest waste in my opinion was Harvey Dent and with all the other changes they made I don't understand why they didn't bring him back and make him Two Face. Two Face is one of Batman's most iconic villains and could have been used as the third main villain alongside Penguin and the Riddler but they just wrote him off and he was never seen again.

I bought the first 3 seasons on DVD like 12-15 years ago at the post office in Norway, i think if i remember correctly that the price was 350 NOK (35 USD) of course that was 12-15 years ago so the price in US money was probably a not 35 USD. yes it Australian, its the only Australian show i have seen that i enjoyed. But i have only seen the first 3 seasons. But i think you can find them on DVD on amazon, i have no idea if its on any streaming service,

Hi Deb,
thanks for asking, I have had a great time with my nieces and fortunately we had enough snow so we could have a snowball war and go sledding and hiking to a nearby forest.
Hi Deb,
this has actually been an interesting week, because I have had a job interview. I want some change, and if I'll get a new job during this year, I may move to another city. It's good to hear that you had a fantastic wedding anniversary and that you are living in a safer neighborhood nowadays. I have always lived in small cities and relatively safe neighborhoods so I can only imagine how stressful it would be to live in an unsafe area.
When I was younger we used to play ice-hockey with friends. I have never skated in an indoor ice rink, but we played lots of hockey in outdoor skating rinks and I have also skated on a natural ice. Sledding is indeed fun, but my nieces are too reckless, so I'll have to be extra careful with them.
We have the corona hoarders here as well. I have avoided shopping centers and I have bought everything that I need from a local grocery store. The Finnish Elite League already cancelled this season and it seems that The UEFA European Football Championship will be moved to next year. I agree that it would probably be best to just move the Olympics to next year and it would be a huge disappointment especially to the athletes themselves if it would be cancelled.
That is actually very interesting news that a new remake of Salem's Lot is on the way. I have wished that they would make a better adaptation because I didn't like the 2004 version. Rob Lowe and Samantha Mathis were very good casting choices but I didn't like that miniseries very much. The story should be set in 1975. Cellphones and other modern technology changes the story too much. The older version deviated too much from the book and I didn't like those changes. The character of Barlow was completely different than in the book and they also combined the characters and Jimmy didn't even exist in this version etc. I liked the atmosphere, though, and overall I prefer the old version.
It seems that you were a successful and talented musician. Here the best achievements of local bands were bar gigs and playing in front of group of friends. I listen to Black, Death and Thrash metal. My biggest influences have probably been guitarists/composers like Dimebag Darrell, Chuck Schuldiner, Jon Nödtveidt and Alexi Laiho. I like making lists, and your question made me think about this topic, so I made a list of my top 10 favorite albums:
1. Dissection - Storm of the Light's Bane 2. Morbid Angel - Covenant 3. Amon Amarth - Versus the World 4. Marduk - Heaven Shall Burn... When We Are Gathered 5. Mayhem - De Mysteriis Dom Sathanas 6. Marduk - Opus Nocturne 7. Amon Amarth - The Crusher 8. Bathory - Hammerheart 9. Morbid Angel - Domination 10. Amon Amarth - Once Sent from the Golden Hall
I haven't seen the last two episodes of season 10 yet, but I'll tell what I think of it when I have seen them.
Edit: Season 10 was great. I liked the Mark of Cain story arc, Rowena, Cole and the Frankensteins. The last episode of season 10 may have been the best season finale so far. My favorite episodes were Brother's Keeper, The Prisoner, Dark Dynasty, Black, Reichenbach, Soul Survivor, The Executioner's Song, Inside Man and Paper Moon. I also liked the story arc with Claire and some of my favorite moments were when Dean killed Death and the Frankensteins and when he fought Cain and when Sam tried to kill Crowley and when Castiel took Metatron's grace and he became mortal. Charlie's death was a big surprise. I liked her, but I also liked the cremation scene and that when Dean took revenge on the Frankensteins.

Just finished Season 3 of Van Helsing on DVD. **spoilers below** These are just basically my thoughts as I watched the episodes. So, the season began with annoying kid sisters, one of which bullied the other (no wonder she wasn't picked) and then got her adoptive parents killed in a car crash by distracting the one who was driving - not a great start to the season. Of course the sisters were Vanessa and Scarlett. Boo! Doc’s still alive. Yay! Jessie is. Unfortunately, her character was written out with a throwaway line a bit later into the season. Too bad Doc (a character who has always annoyed me from the very start) couldn't have just 'disappeared' from the show instead. It amused me when, at one point, Vanessa said Doc may have finally been useful (as she obviously doesn't really like her much either). The bad guy for the episode immediately made me hate him/want him dead after he ordered his men to shoot a barking dog (I don't know if they ended up following that order, but I'm glad we at least didn't have to see it). Instead, he should’ve ordered Flesh shot, who'd just risen from the ground and kept screaming about Lucky (how I HATE that name! Lucky is the sort of name you give a pet, not a person. I never liked her character anyway, and I quickly got sick of Flesh screaming her name over and over - speaking of, 'Flesh' is an equally terrible character name. Sure, we heard him state his actual name was Phil Fleischman...but that's not much better than the nickname he was given). I was glad Scarlett cut the bad guy’s head off...I just wish she'd done the same to Flesh. It was good to see the actress who played Susan, Hilary Jardine, brought back - this time playing an Elder in the guise of Susan. The second episode was better than the first because it cut the dead weight of all the characters I don’t care about/like and focused on the only three I *do* like – Vanessa, Scarlett and Axel. I liked how the episode began with the kick-arse Van Helsing ancestor, Lily (sadly, though, she got killed). I don't care if it was a 'cheap' way of filling in the background scenery, I actually quite liked the constant red sky throughout the episode. It gave it an 'eerie' feel. Scarlett’s snarky attitude towards the Elder Susan amused me, and I thought it was nifty how the 'new' type of vampires sort of spewed light out when Scarlett cut them. There was some quality violence with Axel putting chair leg through guy’s face/head (actually, there was PLENTY of head-smooshing this season. Moreso than I could recall from the previous seasons. The show must've gotten a taste for it after the Elder smooshed Dmitri's head in the Season 2 final) and Elder Susan ripping out windpipe of a vampire. I liked seeing Vanessa and Scarlett having a heart-to-heart chat as they dug up their ancestor’s grave. It was good to see them spending some time together, as we hadn't gotten that much of it previously (that I could recall). I get the feeling that quite a few people don't like Vanessa’s character very much, and maybe it's because she always seems angry/grumpy...but I don't mind that about her. I think if I was in a similar situation as her in the middle of the Vampocalypse, I'd probably be much the same way. It's another reason why having Scarlett interact with her was good - she was a nice contrast to her sister. Scarlett’s snarkiness, brings out a more 'likeable' side of Vanessa (who has a snarky side of her own, but we don't get to see it as often as we do with Scarlett). Things kept improving with episode 3, which was a ‘standalone’ episode of sorts that saw Vanessa sent back in time through a dream induced by Elder Susan to Hong Kong circa 1896. We got to see some of Vanessa's own snarkiness as well as the novelty of Vanessa dressed ‘ladylike’ and having to act so (it amused me that she was constantly fidgeting with her updo). Siobhan the maid was a fun character, though nothing really ended up happening with her at the end – I thought for sure she’d be killed by the B’ah. There was a funny moment with her in the background kicking the guy Vanessa beat up (and after whacking him with a vase) as Vanessa walked away. It was fun seeing Vanessa get trained, wearing more appropriate vampire-killing clothes, and seeing her have to pretend to act ‘like a wife should’ (and Vanessa ‘cranky anachronisms’) as Lily to drug the hubby. I was disappointed that she ended up killing Elder Susan, but I guess it was inevitable. The next episode was several steps down in quality, I thought, as it focused on Sam (who became annoying already back in Season 2). All I could think throughout was why were all these characters (his abusive father, the bullies, the guard who tried befriending him and wound up dead for his trouble, etc) TALKING to a deaf person who couldn’t hear what they were saying? No one bothered to use sign language really. The only bright spot was the BtVS reference – though they used no character names, just ‘the Slayer’, her ‘boyfriend’ and her ‘BFF’ (they were obviously referencing ‘Becoming, Part 2’ since they spoke of the boyfriend getting his soul back, but the Slayer had to kill him anyway). The next two episodes were slightly better, as there was no Sam, but we got Vanessa, Scarlett and Axel back. Unfortunately, we also got the other characters back too. Barry/guy with wrestling mask annoyed me from the start (his bashing in of a vamp's face with a brick was pretty nasty). I just wanted Flesh/Phil to die. I got my hopes up when he shot himself, but then he came back to annoy me some more, so I didn't get my hopes up again that he was permanently gone after he jumped off a building. Vanessa and Scarlett having some more sisterly time was good, though sadly too little of it. Same with seeing them fighting together. I barely remember anything about episode 7 other than there was a lot of head-smooshing, mouse-hunting/-eating by Mohamad (seriously, did we have to watch basically the exact same scene played out twice?), Axel ‘helping’ other randos quickly led to him offing one and picking up the rest including a pregnant chick who he bonded with over Kit Kat (since her name was Kit). I had no clue what was going on with Sam and Mohamad/Sam's Mohamad replacement, but it bored me (same with the sisterhood of penis-chopping vamps). All the gore in the episode didn’t make it anymore interesting. All of Sam’s “nooo”-ing (once he learned that offing his Mohamad replacement wasn't going to satisfy the Oracle he kept seeing, and that he'd have to kill the actual real Mohamad) got annoying very fast. Episode 8 was better, with Vanessa and Scarlett together – why can’t the show just be that? Michael Eklund, the go-to guy for playing a creeper (I recently saw him playing such a role in the movie Into the Forest with Ellen Page and Evan Rachel Wood, but the last TV show I remembered seeing him was Wynonna Earp as Bobo), was playing yet another relative of Vanessa and Scarlett (who was another Elder) here. I liked Scarlett and Vanessa getting fed up with his riddles, but they made some dumb decisions in this episode. Firstly, Scarlett asking Vanessa for the totems to keep them at the house as when they went out, but not bothering to hide them and instead just leaving them on a table. I expected them to be gone by the time they got back, but miraculously they were still there (at least until Vanessa took them at the end of the episode). They then talked about feeding the Elder/letting him feed on them – not smart. In the end, Vanessa went nutso and ripped chunks out of him (as Scarlett looked on, wincing - which was somewhat amusing considering she deals out lots of gory death to vampires herself), left Scarlett stranded on the island, saying she was doing that because she loved her and needed her to survive, then went and killed the dude whose boat they'd stolen. The next episode was boring again, because of no Vanessa/Scarlett (seriously, how many shows have their lead actress absent from so many episodes? It was at least understandable last season, since I discovered Kelly Overton was pregnant, but what was the reasoning behind her missing from episodes this season?). I was annoyed that that pregnant Kit died during childbirth while Flesh/Phil was still alive and being annoying/a jerk/yelling a lot. The actor who plays Julius has lots of enthusiasm for the role, and is probably the most tolerable of the 'side characters', but he's stuck in such a boring side story that I just can't seem to care much about him. Still, I'd rather all the others die before him. The next episode was Vanessa-focused, with lots of returning characters (after she'd chased/fought vamp Mohamad – interestingly shot from inside the warehouse, with them outside, through the windows - and was unlucky enough to crash through a ceiling window, landing on a hook. Every time she pulled herself up, only to let go and sink onto the hook more, it was wince-inducing). I was glad they recapped through dialogue what happened with the first dude who appeared to Vanessa, as I only had a vague recollection of him from Season 1. We were also treated to Susan (yay!), Sam (boo!), two versions of Julius and Dylan (meh). I was glad that Vanessa was able to turn Mohamad back to being human (by tricking him into coming down to her so she could feed him, then he helped her get off the hook) and seeing them interact again, as she actually smiled/looked happy, but it was too short a time together. Episode 11 was Axel-focused (I noticed quite a few episodes were directed by Jonathan Scarfe, who plays Axel, this season). The people he met might not have been the best, but they were still better than the main crew of side characters. I was happy to see Sara Canning appear (who will probably always be 'Aunt Jenna' from The Vampire Diaries to me). I was not expecting her to turn out to be Axel's sister (or what had happened to her character). The actress playing the character of Kelly (the one with the Elsa braid) looked like cross between Brie Larson & Tatiana Maslany to me. She was nice...until she was basically telling Axel to get some condoms so they could get it on and he shot her down because he was still waiting for Scarlett, then she turned hostile, got vamped for her trouble and Axel had to shoot her. Episode 12 was at least half interesting - specifically the half with Scarlett starring in her own version of Cast Away (complete with inanimate object, that she'd drawn a face on and called Wilson, who she talked to). When I saw Jeff Kober's name listed in the guest star credits for the episode, I was expecting him to play a badguy (I'll always remember him as crazy vamp dude Kralik from the BtVS Season 3 episode 'Helpless'), but instead he was playing a believer in God whose beliefs conflicted with Scarlett's (I've always liked how Scarlett’s swords are criss-crossed on her back in the shape of a crucifix and thought that was intentional on her part...which is why it was such a surprise to find out she was a skeptic/non-believer). I'm glad the show didn't portray him in an overly negative light and that he survived. I thought the show was going to veer a bit too far into the religious stuff (which I think 'overtook' Supernatural, for example) when Scarlett saw him appear to be walking on water...but it was in fact just him standing on a jetty, fishing. NO WONDER the season final has such a low rating on IMDB - Scarlett died, Mohamad died...meanwhile Sam/Doc/Flesh/all the characters I actually *wanted* dead managed to survive. What a sucky end for the character of Scarlett. I mean, I knew her days on the show were numbered since it seemed she was only brought in to fill Vanessa's place while Kelly Overton was pregnant, but they could've written her out in a much better way than they did here. The show got lucky in nabbing Missy Peregrym for the role, as she was instantly likeable and brought so much to the show...and this was how they repaid her? And to add insult to injury, they even had Oracle outright state that Scarlett's death was for 'nothing'. Axel blaming Vanessa for Scarlett’s death and threatening to kill her if he ever saw her again, despite the fact that Scarlett basically shoved the knife into herself, just for manufactured drama's sake was beyond ridiculous. Vanessa was frozen and couldn't move and Scarlett forced her to stab her (and remember, Vanessa strand Scarlett on an island to keep her safe!). Shut up, Axel. Sam’s a horned demon now...and no more interesting because of it (Christopher Heyerdahl is a decent actor, but his voice/shtick as Sam has gotten tiresome and he wore out his welcome on the show long ago. Sadly, the writers don't have the balls to permanently off him). The only mildly interesting part was Lily returning - but her fighting alongside Vanessa is no substitute for Scarlett. This really felt like only half an episode, as though they just suddenly cut things off at the midway point and called it the 'season final'. I very disappointing end to what was at least a halfway decent third season. @deblovesbeccy - what'd you think of the season?

Hi Deb,
this has actually been an interesting week, because I have had a job interview.
Hi Raimo47
How are you going today and how is everything going with the Coronavirus in your country? Are you okay with that or has anybody you know got the Coronavirus yet 'cause thankfully none of my family members or friends have got it yet and there was a person who got it in a Myer store in one of the shopping centres Beccy and I go to every now and then and they have closed it down and are asking everybody who has been there in the past week to get tested for the Coronavirus and we have been in the Myer store a few times but we haven't been to that shopping centre since November so we are okay. That is getting closer to us though and it is pretty worrying hearing about all these people getting it and our local Chinese Restaurant are no longer letting people eat inside and you can only go to the desk and place orders or ring up on the phone and then go and pick it up and KFC are only selling food through their Drive Thru now and other take away restaurants are expected to follow. A number of places are closing down here but it is not as bad as it is in some other countries where they are closing everything down and are they closing things down where you live or hasn't it got that bad yet?
I am sorry to hear you have the panic shoppers causing problems in your country too and they are getting worse here and they are literally emptying shelves and getting everything they can get their hands on with the exception of a few things and we haven't been able to get a number of the things from the shops we can usually get easily 'cause they are bulk buying them. My Sister couldn't even get bread yesterday afternoon and she went to four different places including a bakery and they were all sold out and she was pretty annoyed over that especially since she saw a guy at our local shopping centre with 7 or 8 loafs of bread and I hope his bread goes off and grows mold 'cause there are some things you shouldn't bulk buy and bread is one of them but I don't think some of them care and they are just getting everything they can. They are going after medicine now too and emptying the shelves in chemists and it has got so bad the government has had to announce restrictions on medicine and certain things are going to be kept behind the desks and you will need to have a prescription so people can't bulk buy or steal them.
The dumbest thing with that as some of the people working in these chemists have pointed out is a lot of them were buying things they couldn't possibly need and are taking medicine from people who need it while they don't and it sadly wouldn't surprise me if some of them are stupid enough to take things they know nothing about and get sick on it just 'cause they bought it and they are absolutely mad. The worst ones are the violent ones though as I was mentioning before and we have had two pull knives on people and another one throw bottles of wine in a Liquor store and use them as weapons. The government seriously needs to crack down on these people or it will just escalate and they have announced new fines of $14. 000 and $17, 000 and up to six months in prison for people who knowingly have the Coronavirus and refuse to Self-Isolate and they should fine the violent panic shoppers just as much so they think twice before doing it. Although it doesn't set a good example when we have one of our Football players with it who refuses to self-Isolate and went to visit his girlfriend and he just shared it with her and everybody else he came into contact with between then.
They are still saying the Olympicxs is going ahead but I am not sure how they are going to do it unless it is all over and finished by then or they don't have an audience like 'Wrestlemania' is now doing and it should be moved to next year but for some unknown reason they are saying they can't do that and it has to go through this year which makes no sense to me. I think the Coronavirus is going to delay and postpone a lot of things around the world and they have suspended the filming of the final season of 'Supernatural' and all the 'Arrowverse' shows and none of them had their final episodes finished and they are saying some of them could be ending early and they will have to edit the episodes they have got left and air the last one as the final episode and continue it on in the next season which means Season 15 of 'Superantural' might not be the final season now and we could end up getting a Season 16 if they decide to make it a shortened down season like 'Alias' and 'Fringe' had for their final seasons and add some additional episodes.
With the way things are going in 'Supernatural' at the moment I don't think it would be hard for them to make another season 'cause they have another character who could easily become the main villain over the character they have as the villain at the moment and I won't go into details but there is a character called The Empty or the Entity in the Empty who is extremely powerful and older than God and from what I understand God created the earth the Empty created the universe and they are very odd and don't like being disturbed and are angry 'cause Castiel woke them up but that is all I can say. I am glad you enjoyed Season 10 and looking back that I would rank that up high with some of the earlier seasons and I loved the ending of the season too with the darkness descending on earth and that looked really creepy and what do you think of Amara? I think Amara was a great addition and Season 11 was awesome but they sadly haven't used her much since that season and I am hoping that changes towards the end of this season 'cause she is a very powerful character and I could see her helping them at the end. I think the problem with characters like her and Chuck was they are too powerful which is why they chose to use them in a limited capacity and I can't say too much about Chuck in the current season but if they had him always help the Winchesters in the earlier seasons and turn up every time a threat arose it would have been too easy.
For example I think if Chuck had wanted to he could have easily killed Lucifer to help Sam and Dean or even sent him back to the cage but then none of the villains would have seemed like real threats. I also think this is why Castiel was powered down compared to how powerful he was in Season 4 and 5 when he had his wings and all his powers but I would still like to see him become an Archangel or become more powerful like Jack who is another character you will see join at the end of Season 12. I was really surprised when they killed off Charlie too and I wasn't expecting that to happen after they had killed off Bobby in Season 7 and it seems with only a few exceptions nearly everybody that helps Sam or Dean ends up dead. Castiel has been killed multiple times but has been brought back. Dean killing Death was another surprise 'cause I didn't think Death could be killed and the Frankensteins were interesting villains but I was kinda disappointed we didn't get to see them face off with a more traditional Frakenstein and I thought that might have been the plan and they would have killed off the other family members and the real one from the classic Horror stories would have turned up and they would have had to fight him but the budget might have prevented that..
With 'Supernatural' possibly going for another season I still think aliens would have been interesting to see and with everything else that we have seen exist in the 'Supernatural' Universe the existence of aliens wouldn't have been too far fetched but I think it might have been hard for the writers to add them without making them too much like the Leviathons in Season 7 if they went with an 'Invasion of the Bodysnatchers' type of storyline and they would have had to come up with a whole background for them to explain where they fit into things. Oddly enough 'Buffy' had an alien in Season 5 but never had Angels and looking at what 'Supernatural' has done with them Angels could have probably fit into 'Buffy' or 'Angel' with all the other things they had. It will be interesting to see what the new 'Salem's Lot' is like along with the TV Show and I can see why you weren't a fan of some of the changes and they have done that with a few Stephen King adaptions and combined characters and what surprised me with 'Under the Dome' was they got rid of Rusty who was one of the main characters in the book and Barbie's best friend and then made some characters younger and older than they were in the books.

Hi Deb,
thanks for asking. In spite of this situation with the coronavirus I have been fine, and so far no one I know has been infected. It's good to hear that you are okay and the situation is not as bad there as in some other countries. Gatherings of 10 or more people are prohibited in Finland and there will probably be new prohibitions as well. I believe that all bars and restaurants will soon be closed and movement within the country will be restricted. The fines and prison sentences you mentioned would be useful here too. Most people act responsibly, but there are still too many selfish people who don't care what happens to others. It's hard to say what will happen to the Olympics, but my personal guess is some kind of postponement.
So far I have liked Amara, and I have liked season 11, but I have seen only the first 7 episodes. I find the show's mythology interesting, and like in Hercules, when there were mythology episodes about titans and other beings that existed before gods, it is also interesting to see in this show, what existed before god and the universe etc. I agree that it would be too easy, if Sam and Dean had such powerful allies. The villains could pose no threat to them. The last 2 episodes I watched were Our Little World and Plush, and I think that Metatron has been an even better villain after they helped him to escape from heaven. All his scenes in Our Little World were great. It is also interesting to see, If Sam's visions mean that we are going to see Lucifer in this season. All those things you mentioned about the next seasons of Supernatural seem interesting and I think I'm going to like all seasons of this show.
Although I like aliens in The X-Files and angels in Xena and especially in Supernatural, I think it was better to not have beings of christian mythology in Buffy or in Angel. I also think that it is better to keep sci-fi and supernatural apart from each other and not to have e.g. aliens in a show that focuses on supernatural topics. X-Files mixed these categories and it worked well, and an episode about aliens might work on Supernatural, but in my opinion it would be better if there were only supernatural topics on Supernatural, not sci-fi.

Wild Palms This was dismissed as a lame Twin peaks rip-off by some when it came out in 1993, but has since gathered a cult following. It's a 5 episode mini-series produced by Oliver Stone. It has elements of neo-noir, cyberpunk and soap opera. The first episode is really excellent setting up an intriguing mystery, but already by the second episode things get far more conventional, you know pretty early on where things are heading which is a shame because from then on the series sort of limps to the finish line. The ending is anti-climacttic and pretty lame undoing a lot of the good stuff that came before. Overall an interesting enough oddity to be worth a look.
