First, there is The Evil Dead trilogy. The original holds up quite well considering it's very low budget and Raimi the ripe old age of 20. The second one is a terrific blend of horror and comedy into one lovely experience. Army of Darkness I'm less fond of. Then there is the Spider-Man trilogy. The first one hasn't aged quite so well, the second remains a very good movie, while the third is the Fredo Corleone of the trilogy. A Simple Plan is a film that doesn't get discussed much but is very much in the vein of something like Fargo but far less humorous. The Gift was also a pretty interesting movie and gave Keanu Reeves the chance to play an abusive redneck. Also notable for Katie Holmes taking her top off.

I was floored that he directed For Love of the Game. That seems as unlikely as Hitchcock directing Mr and Mrs Smith.

Let's not forget Darkman, Raimi's first foray into superhero territory. Stylish and cartoonish; one hell of a ride!
