Basketball. Too much scoring.
Soccer. Too little scoring.

If you end up having a Gina Carano fixation my suspicions will be confirmed.

Oh, are you saying I'm somebody else? Nope, I've only ever been NxNWRocks, since 2004 on the old site.

Cricket because I have no idea what's going on. Cricket looks far more complicated than it really is, but explaining it is really difficult.

Cricket because I have no idea what's going on. I’ve never understood how a Baseball fan, even a casual one, cannot grasp the general idea of cricket. Watch 15 minutes of televised cricket and using your knowledge of baseball, you’ll understand it. Now, if you said “Cricket, because it’s a poor version of Baseball” or “Cricket because it’s slow” etc I’d understand. I just don’t get it.....

Golf. It’s at the olympics - therefore it’s considered a sport. I just don’t see the appeal. I simply don’t. Mini golf is fun to do, but to watch it for hours on end listening to pretentious wankers waffle on about ? Pass. Speaking of Olympics, my other contenders are fencing and figure skating. How dancing on ice can be “scored” objectively is beyond me. Diving and Gymnastics are similar, but the technique involved usually keeps it entertaining. As for fencing, people wearing straight jackets poking each other with kebab skewers is just plain boring. If there was some ‘danger’ involved, it might be interesting. The most interesting thing that might happen is a scoring controversy, or a hole in a uniform......

Unpopular opinion but soccer is my answer. Fairly personal as I covered that for a few years too working at the paper in Liverpool. Crazy Marconi fans were the worst.

American Football it has to much stop in the play. I mean the game last for 3 hours or something but if you tally up the time when the ball is actually in play the action amounts to only 11 minutes. An average play in the NFL lasts just four seconds.

Golf.
Those who answered soccer must be seeing bad soccer games, which can be boring. Soccer played at the highest level can be very exciting.
As for American Football - I find it extremely exciting, addicting even, to the point that when the season ends I go into acute withdrawal. Sure, there are too many breaks; we'd all like to see fewer commercials and faster reviews of controversial plays, but the game itself is very exciting.
On the other hand I find that basketball has a huge potential to be boring. If it's unbalanced and a team is much better than the opponents then it is utterly boring. But even when it is a game featuring two equally good teams, the problem is that most of the game means nothing, it will be the last five minutes that will decide it anyway. And then the last five minutes come, and the time-outs and fouls are excruciating, slowing and stretching those five minutes to unbearable duration. I don't understand a sport whose rules encourage fouling to get an advantage.
